I had been looking forward to my first session of Reiki. On the 24th I had my first Reiki. It was very relaxing and I think that it really did help with the pain. Then, on the 30th I got to go to the Grove City ER because my heart rate went up to 160. They gave me an IV and almost 2 bags of fluid, which brought my heart rate down to around 115. Then I got sent home.

Same problems....different day....just so lovely.
Well, nothing else new has happened this week, except I was to the emergency room on the 15th, Sunday night. I thought for sure that my lipase would be elevated. I was having such bad abdominal pain. But it came back okay. To my luck the ER doctor didn't like using pain medication to 'mask' things. I got sent home. The next few days weren't the greatest. I was still in alot of pain. I seen my pain clinic doctor tuesday. He didn't like my fast heart rate so he had an EKG done on me right there. it came back okay. He also increased my pain medication. so far it has helped me with the pain better too.

Seen some Doctors..new Problems
Well this week I seen 3 doctors. Tuesday I seen my GI doctor, Wednesday I seen my Pain clinic doctor, and Thursday I seen my Regular doctor.
Tuesday went okay, he wants me to have a colonoscopy done and a small bowel series before I go on having my colon taken out. He wants to make sure it is diseased and that its neccesary to have it taken out. My Colonoscopy was scheduled for Friday, but I had to cancel it.
At the pain clinic wednesday I felt awful. I had sweat all night long. I was soaking wet, and barely able to get around without getting out of breath. My heart rate resting was around 125, and when I stood up it got even higher.

These pills didn't work at ALL
My pain has continued to worsen. By Saturday the 7th it was even worse, and now the pain clinic was closed and there was nothing I could do except go to the ER, so that's what we ended up doing. First I called the GI doctor that was on call. He was kind of mean to me, saying to give my heart rate a few days to come down, and I told him that I already had given it more than a few days to come down.I didn't go until almost after midnight. That's when I got signed in. My heart rate then was 140. They took me right back, infront of everyone else just because my heart rate was so high. But first the nurse walked around and told the people that I needed to go back first because it was medically neccesary. As soon as I got back into a room, they had me change into a gown, and then they slapped on a bunch of heart monitors, a blood pressure cuff, and a pulse oxometer on me. Of course they had to start an IV on me. The nurse that was in the ER tried one time to start one, without any luck. After that they called IV team to come and start an IV on me. The lady from radiology showed up with a big cup of conrast for me to drink <>yum yum<>. Finally IV team showed up. I showed her where some veins were showing up, and she took a look...and before I knew it...she had the IV in. And then we were able to draw my blood labs from the IV before starting it to run, which is wonderful. That saves me getting stuck with another needle.
I got some pain shots, plus they took me over to get my cat scan. After all the waiting for results the doctor came back into my room and said that we were stuck. Either he could find someone to admit me for pain control, or I could go home. I told him I'd like to go home but I would need a prescription for my old pain pills , just enough to last me until I could call my pain clinic doctor on monday, and she could switch me back to my percocet and write me a new prescription. So, thats what he did. Plus they gave me a pain shot and nausea shot before I went home. I did feel some better. My heart rate was down to around 90-95 when we left to go home.
Monday I called at the pain clinic and Shelly switched me back to the percocet and wrote a script out for enough to last me until I seen her wednesday. Continue on to the update above.....
