UPDATE 15(July 3rd 2002)

Well Just when I think my GI doctors have done everything possible to suprise me, they do something else. My GI doctor wasn't concerned at all with cat scan results, and he said that it wasn't anything that we didn't already know was going on. I was like, excuse me?? My cat scan from 5 months ago was completely normal, no signs of Crohn's disease whats so ever. And now he's saying that this is disease activity we aleady knew was going on? What the heck!?! No we didn't!! Anyways..about 3 weeks ago I started having horrible pain with swallowing solid food. My GI doctor scheduled me for an endoscopy, and at the same time signed me up for the phase three drug trial of Antegren. My biopsies showed chronic mild inflammation. But it still didn't explain the reason for the pain with swallowing. 3 days after my endoscopy, I woke up with a horrible sore throat. I went and seen my regular doctor the next morning. He did a culture of my throat. It turned out to be strep throat. I've been scheduled for a test to see how well my esophageal muscles are working, but the pain is getting better so I am going to cancel the test. I would have it done if it wasn't so unpleasant, but it includes putting down an NG tube for the second part of test - measuring the acid reflux for 24 hours.
