A hour later we were awakened by a cleaning guy. He said that he was sent to make up the bed that my mom was sleeping in. We didn't know what was going on! My mom got out of bed and sat in the chair that was at the bottom of my bed. It took the guy about 30 minutes to clean and make the bed. My mom sat in the chair in a Daze not knowing what to do. We called my nurse down to my room. We didn't like the nurse I had anyway because she acted like she knew everything or something. My nurse came into the room,sat down, and said "How's things?" Like everything was hunky dorey. Well lets see...its 4am and my mom just got kicked out of bed..How do you think things are??? ANYWAY...my mom said to her "is someone coming in here?". My nurse looked at her and said in a snobbish voice "There might be!". Then my mom said "We were told that they blocked this room a few days ago. We talked to Trish, the patient care director president, and she was blocking it so I could sleep in the bed". The nurses eyes got big and she said "You talked to Trish??" My mom replied "Yes!" Then my nurse went to check my chart to see if we were right.
A few minutes later she came back, and we were right. My room WAS blocked and she just over looked it. Did she think that my mom just crawled up into the empty bed without permission and the nurse thought she would kick her out of the bed? And why did she say there might be a patient coming when my room was blocked and no one else was allowed in my room??? The nurse knew no patient was coming, she just wanted my mom out of the bed! Then she sent the cleaning guy down to clean the bed as a way of getting my mom out of the bed. The bed didn't need cleaned at 3AM! Especially when no one was being admitted to my room! She was so MEAN for doing this!
