***********NOT DONE********

Well today I woke up around 7am, and got up. I turned my computer on, thinking that I would stay awake and catch up on some work. That only lasted for about 5 minutes. I turned my computer back off, and laid bck down till around 9am. I woke back up, this time soaking wet laying in bed, on my back. my hir was all wet, my back was all wet, my legs. Everything. I wasn't really feeling the greatest. I was getting really hot all over, so I started up my air conditioner. That really didn't help. I got on my computer, until about noon, then I went and asked my mom if we could go get an ice cream cone. So, we drove the 8 miles to the ice cream place and got cones. That didn't make me feel any better. My abdomen still had the painful throbbing and burning sensation inside and outside, plus I still felt hot. At home my mom had asked me how I felt. I told her I felt okay, but I really wasn't feeling okay. I wasn't feeling the greatest. She mentioned how I looked like I didn't have any color to my face, and I looked really pale that day.
I did think that I would feel better after having the ice cream cone, but I didn't, and I started asking and telling my mom that I thought I something was wrong. And that I probably should go to Pittsburgh, back to the hospital. I called down to my GI doctors office at 12:35, lunch time, and spoke with the answering service. They told me all the doctors were out to lunch and that I could leave a message. So, I left a message that I was feeling very sick. The thing about the answering service, you never know when the doctors will call you back. It's always atleast 24 hours until someone calls you back from the office. And then when they do call you back, it's the Doctors Nurse, not the Doctor. Unless you call after the office closes, and they have to page the doctor that is on call. Then they call you back within an hour usually. Anyway, after I left a message, I took a few pieces of clothing off because I was so hot, and I laid down on my bed. My mom came in to check up on me again, and she was asking me how I felt. It was so hard to explain how I felt. I described it as "feeling like the life was draining out of me". She felt my forehead, and took my pulse. My temperature was normal on the thermometer, but my pulse was 117, and I was resting. After she took my pulse, and seen how high it was, she told me to get up, and that she would take me back to the hospital. It was 1:10pm when we got on the interstate towards Pittsburgh.
When we arrived back at the hospital, about 50 minutes later, I signed in, there wasn't much of a wait. I think we waited maybe 10 or 15 minutes after I got triaged. By this time my heart rate was up even higher. Now it was 133. They took me back to the other side of the ER where all the special rooms are that have glass sliding doors on each room. Thankfully I got a very nice ER doctor this time. He had no problem giving me something for pain. He called my GI doctors and the surgeons, and ordered IV fluids, something for pain and nausea, blood cultures, regular blood work, and a cat scan. When I drank the contrast for the cat scan it started to come out the tunnel and hole that was still left behind from my feeding tube they had just removed the day before. That really upset me because the following day I was suppose to be going back to a regular diet with regular food, and the hole was suppose to be starting to heal over now in my stomach. That meant that anything, including liquid, shouldn't STILL be leaking from my stomach and through the hole that was from my feeding tube they took out. My heart rate started to come down when they started to give me some IV fluids. I was admitted to the Hospital, and the GI doctor that was on-call in the hospital came down to the ER to see me, and write up my admission orders. She arrived at the ER only about 10 minutes before the other person arrived to take me up to my room. Then she just came with us while they took me to my room. It was about 8pm when I was taken up to the 9th floor, to room 924 bed 2(at the window).
The doctor was in my room for a long time asking me questions about what had happened that past week with my feeding tube, with the infection, and what happened when they took it out. She placed a Cath tube in the feeding tube hole, into my stomach, just for the night, to keep the hole open so that if anything else leaked out it would go into the tube that was placed.

Still in Hospital. Today nothing really exciting happened, except for this morning. A doctor from general surgery came to see me, and take a look at the hole in my abdomen where liquids were leaking from, where my feeding tube was at. When I took the dressing off, the tube was no longer in through the hole. The surgeon started to grab the tape that was holding down the entire length of the red tube, and I said "Let me peel it up" and he said "ok". So I took the tape off, and he started saying that the red tube needed to be put bck in so they could feed me, but only after they took me downstairs and made sure it was into my stomach. I told him that I wasn't having another feeding tube put back in, and that I was eating enough by mouth to mantain my weight. Then he looked at me kinda weird and said that the tube didn't need to be in there then. I was like DUHHHH!!! Anyway, I got to have the entire tube shoved back into my stomach, through the hole on my abdomen, and it wasn't even sterile. He left after that, and then I called my nurse for my pain shot. It didn't really feel that good having that tube put back through there again.
Later on my GI doctor came in, he looked me over, asked how I was feeling. I told him I was still having alot of pain around the site. My mom told him how that general surgeon guy stuck that red tube back into my abdomen after I told him not to do it. My GI doctor said he would look into it. I kinda hope he gets yelled at for doing that to me. That wasn't right at all. My GI doctor also said that I would probably get to go home tomorrow. Yay. As long as my bloodwork didn't go anymore hay wire, or I didn't spike any fevers. It mens that my infection is under control and I can start to take oral antibiotics for the infection. Just have to wait and see. I was also allowed to take my pills today, with minimal water, just enough to swallow them.
Today my GI doctor came into my room around 10 am and seen me. He asked how I was feeling, I told him I felt like eating. He said to stay on liquids today yet and to take it easy, that I could be discharged, and go home. I expected him to go out and start to get the paper work done so I could be discharged. On the phone earlier I told my mom that I might be coming home today before she left the house around 9 am, but she didn't know for sure. I had to call up at the pain clinic and ask if she could stop by and get my pain pill prescriptions for me and fill them because if I got discharged I wouldn't have any pills, and there's no way I would be able to make it up there unless they fit me in their schedules to be seen by the doctor. They said she could pick them up for me. So, today before my mom came to the hospital she had to go up and get them filled.
I kept asking about my discharge papers, and my nurse said that my GI doctor didn't write for me to be discharged, so then she paged him. He said that one of the other GI doctors would be up to do it. By this time it was going on 12 noon. I figured I might as well get a shower to go home, so I went and took one. Still no discharge papers. I asked my nurse again, she paged the GI docs. This time they were in a conference, and would be up to discharge me after the conference. I was all dressed and ready to go. My mom showed up then, after getting my prescriptions filled. By now it was around 1:30pm. I laid in bed, and watched the national spelling bee on television for ages 13 and under. lol. How entertaining. Then finally it happened, I got my discharge papers!! YES!! I got to go home!!
