Mean Doctors....

"I think you are lying to me!!!"

This story is very very interesting. This also happened during my hospital stay from the end of February to March 14-15th, 2003, When I had the really bad pancreatitis. My real GI doctor was on call for about 4 days in a row, so he came to see me a few times a day. Once in the morning, and once at night. In the mornings he would come in, and ask me if I was getting out of bed. I told him YES, I AM. He didn't believe me, and said : " I think you are lying to me, and making this up just because I'm here asking you about it!". I replied with...Well, did you know that I was off the floor for over an hour today? I went down to the cafeteria, and then down to the gift shop, and to the hospitals chapel. He replied with "oh really? ok..."

But even after that incident, he still came in my room everyday, calling me a liar, saying I wasn't getting out of my bed. Talk about rude. First of all, I was on a high-security floor. There was a phone located outside the locked security doors that you had to pick up, and dial the exstension number that was wrote down where you had to show a badge, or security card to get through the locked and sealed doors into the medical ward I was at. The place I was at was so small, and the hall ways very very shorts. There was only about 16 rooms total. 8 rooms on each side. And each room was a private room, only one person in each room. Where does he expect me to go? Does he want me to go run a 5 mile marathon or something? Gosh. How am I suppose to walk anyway, when I'm having a pancreas attack!!

I'm IN the hospital. They don't put just ANYONE in the hospital. They put people who are 'sick' in the hospital so they can get better, not so they can work out and exercise!! Some of the following stories you are not going to believe...One of them I got in trouble because I went downstairs in the hospital, so I could go to the CHAPEL. Can you believe this? I got in trouble by a DOCTOR, too. My nurse wrote me a hall pass so I could go down stairs. It's not like I sneaked away or anything. They knew I went down stairs. That will be another story, here in my "Mean Doctor Stories", so please continue on reading my stories.
