I had been searching the net and happened across Cold Spot in Canada. I sent some information about things that had been happening in my home. She contacted Spiritseekers of Ohio, which does investigations in the Ohio area. Mitch and GayleTolliver contacted me and we started emailing back and forth. I explained some strange things that had occurred over the years. We set up an investigation in August. They got a couple EVPs but nothing on film.
I do know this house was built in 1945. The previous owner were my husband's ex in-laws, they bought the house in the 50's. They eventually divorced, the woman left, the man died, but not in this house. Before them the owner was a guy named Spencer, he did some adding on, 2 rooms, and dug the basment. We don't think he is the original owner, because why add on afterward you built it?

My daughter is 22 and has sensed a female presence in the house since her high school years. I never believed her.Teenagers imaging things, lol She has felt a hand on her shoulder sitting in the living room at the computer. I have smelled perfume sitting at the computer. A few years ago she came home and saw a female figure in my hallway door, lots of colors and strands coming from the illuminated figure.
She slept in the bedroom that we now occupy in the basement from 97-99. She moved after she graduated in 1999.
After she had her son in 2000, she lived here for a year. They slept in our small upstairs bedroom. That room is directly over the basement area where we hear the noises and voices. Before she had her son, a friend was over spending the night. They were both sharing the twin bed, my daughter sleeping on the outside. They had a small fan running that was making some noise. They both asked the other one to try to fix it. My daughter said she rolled over cause she was really tired. Her friend said it looked like something got out of my daughters body, sat up, walked over and touched the fan. The noise stopped. It then walked out of the room, but peeked back in. She then fell asleep.
Another time after her son was born, she said a pacifier that had been at the other end of the baby bed appeared in her infant son's mouth. She asked me if I did it, I didn't. He was only a few months old and couldn't have done it himself. unsure of date
You need to know that we sleep in the basement bedroom. My husband (John) works midnights so it is quieter for him to sleep during the day. The basement is our get-away-from-it all area, it is a bar and all the walls are covered with mirrors, signs, etc. The basement consists of a bedroom, bathroom, room for foosball and air hockey right outside the bedroom. There is also a small room for darts and it has two commercial video games in it. The bar is the largest room.
2002
I was standing in the kitchen at the closed door to my basement. I had just yelled down for my husband to get up. I was also trying to coax my 2 yr. old grandson out of the laundry room. I kept telling him to "get out of there". All of a sudden I heard a deep male voice say the exact same thing I had been saying. It came from behind the basement door. My grandson (he was 2) looked at me and said "pawpaw�s up". We thought it was his grandpa in the basement, playing games. Well, when my husband came upstairs, I thanked him for helping me out because he did leave the area. He had no idea what I was talking about, he had been across the basement in the bathroom.

3 odd noises, like "boing" in the middle of the night.

I walked into the hall and got a really strong odor, like a dead animal. It was gone in seconds.

The bamboo beads on the bedroom door moved. Noone was there, my husband was lying in bed and heard them after 9 am

A loud thud on the wall in the middle of the night that woke my husband. after 3 am

First and only sighting of a woman in laundry room door 5:30 pm. John was getting ready for work, he had to go in early. He felt the urge to look into the kitchen. She was standing in the laundry room doorway and looked like she was in the middle of a step, like she was going to the basement. The basement door is to the right of where she was standing. She had long dark hair, a long white sleeveless dress with a high waist. He looked away and when he looked back, she was gone. He didn't tell me til the next morning.

Not sure if it's important...John felt heat in the middle of the kitchen like the oven was on, it wasn't.

I was lying in bed, (I swore) I saw a man in a flannel shirt standing on John's side of the bed, he faded away.

I had just woke John up and was standing outside the bedroom door and felt a gust of air go by, the AC was not on. It was 1:05 pm

I don't know for sure what happened. I was accused of pulling the comforter so hard that it woke John up. It flipped him right over on his back. He heard the beads move afterwards. I didn't do it.

John was in the basement bathroom about 9am, he swore a door slammed in the bar.

Last night I decided to tape awhile so I went down to my bedroom and set up. I announced the time, date, where I was and that I was wanting to talk. It was about 1am and I was really tired so I only taped about a half hour. I asked the usual questions and afterwards I listened to it but I didn't hear anything. She never answers me anyway. :) I decided to leave the tape on (but I kept that a secret) while I slept so I laid the recorder on the shelf above the bed and hit the record button. I said that it was 1:32 and I was going to sleep. About 2 minutes after I turned off the light and laid down, I heard a womans voice. Ok, I am lying in a pitch black basement, and it's as quiet as a tomb. I raised my head and listened, it was coming from the other room. I heard her speak 4 times but I could not understand anything she said. One time it was like a long sentence. It only lasted about a minute and then it was silent again. It was like a tv was on but there is no tv in there. I listened to the recorder this morning but it didn't pick up anything, other than me snoring. That was embarassing to listen to for over an hour. I guess because she was in the other room and she didn't speak loud enough it didn't pick up. It's ironic because I was going to lay the recorder in that room but I was so tired I just left it in my room.

We had 16 people in the bar and John was in the booth with Marcus. He heard a female voice behind him say "are we having fun John?" He turned around and noone was there.

I am not sure if this has any bearing or not but about 1:57pm today I was in the kitchen and John was in the living room. I heard a series of 10 quick muffled knocks. It was like pounding, urgent sounding. I went to the front door and noone was there. John heard it too.

We are beginning to wonder if someone was knocking on the basement door, cause tonight I found the outside lights turned on. Why would someone turn the lights on?

My Dixie cups somehow fell on the floor from the shelf under the microwave. Jasper (cat) usually pulls bread from there but he was in the living room with me and Milenko (dog). John was in the shower at the time. 8:55pm

I sat down to check my email at 8:15am, all of a sudden I smelled powder, it was so strong I could taste it.
