Pantha, Jesus, and Angels

Saturday mornings belong to Samantha and I. Usually, I let Tina sleep late. Samantha and I go to McDonalds for pancakes. It is our special time together. It has become a rather sacred time for me.

After breakfast, Sam and I come home and spend the morning together. Usually, we do whatever she wants to do. Most of the time, we just sit and talk...Sam loves to discuss things...and I love to know what is on her mind.

This morning, she was in the mood to talk about Jesus and Angels. We have had this discussion before, but, she never seems to tire of talking about God, Heaven, Jesus, and angels...like I said, we talk about whatever is on her mind.

Sam has become quite the authority on the subject of religion. It takes her awhile to get it all out, but I am in no particular hurry when it comes to these "nuggets" from the lips of my little girl.

Instead of the usual "I said...and she said", I am going to put the entire conversation in the form of a script...in an attempt to let you experience the whole conversation...the way I do.

Samantha: "Where God?"
Daddy: "God is in Heaven."
Sam:"I go?"
Dad:"We have to wait for Jesus to come get us!"
Sam:"What happen Jesus?"
Dad:"Jesus died on the cross."
Sam:"Where angels?"
Dad:"They're in Heaven with Jesus."
Sam:"Angels...girls?"
Dad:"Angels are girls."
Sam:"Jesus...boy, angels...girl!"
Dad:"Jesus is a boy, and angels are girls."
Sam:"Angels sit down...pee...Say It!"
Dad:"The angels sit down to pee cause they are girls."
Sam:"Jesus stand up...pee...Say It!"
Dad:"Jesus stands up to pee cause He's a boy."
Sam:"Pantha...angels...sit down pee...Say It!"
Dad:"Samantha and the angels sit down to pee cause they are girls."
Sam:"Daddy...Jesus...stand up...pee...Say It!"
Dad:"Daddy and Jesus stand up to pee cause they are boys."
Sam:"Angels...blue eyes...like Pantha...Say It!"
Dad:"Angels have blue eyes like Samantha."

Every time Samantha and I have such a conversation, I always learn something. For example, I did not know that angels have blue eyes. I am sure that Samantha is right about this. For you see, Samantha has blue eyes...and she is, definitely, an angel!
