MUEN: HI ANNA! SO YOU GOT A FEW DAYS OFF! HOW ARE THINGS GOING THUS FAR? HOW WERE YOUR RECENT SHOWS THROUGHOUT ITALY AND FRANCE?

ANNA: Italy and France was amazing! The fans out there are great! It's really cool to see people who can't speak a word of english, singing the words to your songs.

MUEN: IT'S BEEN SAID THAT "THE TOMMYS ARE THE ANSWER TO THE UK'S HOLE AND L7..." AND THAT THE LIVE SHOWS ARE "SPELLBINDING"... HOW LONG EXACTLY HAVE "THE TOMMYS" BEEN A BAND, AND ABOUT WHEN DID THINGS REALLY START TAKING OFF FOR YOU?

ANNA: The band started about 3 years ago, I joined last October .. since then, we've been touring.. trying to write songs and record our album in the short gaps where we're not gigging.

MUEN: WE ARE FEATURING FEMALE FRONTED BANDS THIS SUMMER... WHAT SORT OF ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR GIRLS AND WOMAN WHO ARE JUST BEGINNING THEIR MUSIC CAREERS?

ANNA: Just that you'll always get compared to women, not musicians .... and that its hard work, because being female means you have to try much harder on your skill and performance to get people to accept you. Just don't give up, and get as much experience as possible, using every style, and with guys and girls.

MUEN: TELL US ABOUT YOUR LATEST RECORDINGS, AND HOW AND WHERE THEY CAN BE BOUGHT.... AND ARE THEY AVAILABLE IN U.S. STORES?

ANNA: At the moment, you can get them at our myspace, or coming to a show, where we sell our EP ourselves... these are the only places you can get our music

MUEN: ANY LIVE SHOWS PLANNED FOR THE U.S. IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

ANNA: Not at the moment, but that's because we have a huge European tour coming up, and then we're off too China and Hong Kong. Playing in the U.S. is something we're all looking forward too though.

MUEN: ANNA, IF YOU WERE TO ONLY CHOOSE 2 MAJOR INFLUENCES WITH REGARDS TO YOUR MUSIC.... WHO WOULD THEY BE?

ANNA: Musically, the Smashing Pumpkins and Jane's Addiction.

MUEN: ARE THERE ANY SIGNINGS IN THE PROCESS AS WE SPEAK? ANY COOL INDIE LABELS OR MAJORS SEEKING YOU OUT AT THIS POINT? IF NOT, THAT WOULD BE INSANE, LOL...
