Interview by Stephanie Marie
MUEN: Hey you guys what's up, keeping it metal?
FL: 24/7 baby!
MUEN: Tell me a little bit about each one of you..
FL: Chris- I do nothing but play Xbox 360, and hardly show up to practice ha-ha.
Jake- I have a growing lawn gnome collection in my room. No Seriously I do.... Smut. I also say the word "smut" till it goes out of style and everyone hates me for it, but I don't give a FUCK.
Dave- I put this band first. and I hope that it goes as far as this band can possibly ever go. i skateboard a lot also.
Steve- I like to watch gay porn and jack off to Dick Chaney in an underskirt. Also, when the time is right, you should always go for the gold before the badger snatches your food. I like to do cartwheels over spiders. The End.
Trevor- I Like to rollerblade and listen to jazz, I just joined this band and Seinfeld is my favorite television show.
MUEN: You guys were awesome live when I saw you at the Hayloft for the "Vitamin Water Fest," what's it like for you guys while you're on stage in front of a crowd? Do you guys keep confident or do you sometimes get nervous?
FL: Any word in our vocabulary minus the word nervous. We're always confident in what we do.
MUEN: I noticed you guys have a couple more shows coming up right here in Michigan, are you hoping to possibly tour anytime soon, maybe with another local band from here?
FL: Possibly spring break, definitely next summer, as fast as any other local band we really don't have any in mind
MUEN: The new CD you have coming out seems very impressive! Looking forward to the new material, but on this up coming CD - are you hoping for better feed back?
FL: Yes, the new stuff we are currently writing is much more brutal than our old stuff, we actually have a new track off of our full length up called "Succession In Failure" on our myspace.
MUEN: A lot of bands that are national now were once just like you guys, so where do you guys hope to be in the next... say five to ten years?
FL: Hopefully signed ha-ha.
MUEN: What bands can you say have influenced your music the most?
FL: Suicide Silence, The Damascus Intervention, At The Throne Of Judgment, Beneath The Massacre, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Acacia Strain, Emmure
MUEN: "Unforgivable" and "Vendetta" are two of my favorite songs, do you guys hide messages behind the lyrics, something the fans can possibly relate too?
FL: We dropped "Vendetta" recently, and "Unforgivable" really doesn't have a meaning to it, but hey if you would like to relate to it, go right ahead
MUEN: Do you guys think your as good as your going to get , or are you constantly pushing yourselves to be better? With trying new idea's and material?
FL: We're CONSTANTLY pushing ourselves, until we find our peak, and then we'll work from there
MUEN: Has it always been about metal/hardcore, or with each of your personalities - did it just kind of form into that genre?
FL: We all listen to different styles of music, that's what makes us so unique
MUEN: Alright guys, this interview is over GO BACK TO WRITING MUSIC!.Interview by Stephani Marie |
