Interview with CAFFEINE KILL

MUEN: SO HOW LONG HAS THE CD BEEN OUT, AND IS THIS YOUR DEBUT, OR NO?
CAFFEINE KILL: "Still Bleeding" came out on the 24th of September. It is our debut release under a label, but we also have two self released albums "Let's Watch TV" (2004) and "Shedding Skin" (2005).
MUEN: IS GARY NEWMAN AN INSPIRATION OF YOURS?
CAFFEINE KILL: Yeah, although he is just one of many inspirations for the band, we are a mixed bag in that respect.
MUEN: WHAT IS THE TITLE "STILL BLEEDING" SUPPOSED TO MEAN?
CAFFEINE KILL: Why "Still Bleeding" It came from the lyrics of one of the tunes on the record. It stood out and fitted with the feel of the album. Originally we were going to be doing 2 EP's, "The Violent Night" and then "Still Bleeding" but we had so many tunes we decided an album would be better.
MUEN: TELL US, WHAT IS THE DESCRIPTION YOU MOST PREFER FOR YOUR TYPE OF MUSIC? WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO BE CALLED?
CAFFEINE KILL: We like to be associated to the Industrial Metal genre but to be honest it doesn't really matter.
MUEN: ARE YOU GETTING ANY RADIO PLAY AT ALL?
CAFFEINE KILL: We are getting a bit yes. At the moment we are still building the momentum and we are hoping to get more as we go along.
MUEN: SO HOW IS CASKET MUSIC WORKING OUT FOR YOU, ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK SO FAR?
CAFFEINE KILL: Casket are great!! They have put us in front of people that we wouldn't have had a chance with without their name behind us. It has also opened the world stage up to us by having our album distributed worldwide; anybody from anywhere can order our CD its great! Without Casket this album wouldn't get the exposure we feel it deserves and they have helped us to push on to the next level with the band. Onwards and Upwards I say :o) |
