INTERVIEW with
BRITTNEY KEEFER!

BRITTNEY KEEFER

MUEN: HI BRITTNEY! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS INTERVIEW! YOU HAVE BEEN ONE OF OUR FAV MODELS FOR SO LONG! EVERYTHING FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHY TO YOUR TASTE IN ART AND MUSIC HAS INSPIRED US SO MUCH! WHEN DID YOU FIRST BECOME INTERESTED IN MODELING, WAS IT ON YOUR MIND WHEN YOU WERE A TEEN?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: When I was a teen modeling was always in the back of my head but I had a lot on my plate at the time. Like homework, family and friends, and of course boys! J

MUEN: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL MODELING JOB? AND WHO DO YOU GIVE CREDIT TO FOR GIVING YOU YOUR FIRST OPPORTUNITIES?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: My first modeling job was being on the cover of Core Magazine. I had a layout and an interview. They are a small magazine here in San Diego, but I met a lot of great people and had fun doing it. It was good experience. But I would have to give all my credit to Shaun Alexander for starting my beautiful portfolio. He is an amazing photographer, artist and friend.

MUEN: DO YOU CURRENTLY WORK WITH OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS BESIDES SHAUN ALEXANDER, OR IS HE YOUR EXCLUSIVE PHOTOGRAPHER?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Yes I have worked with other photographers, but to tell you the truth Shaun spoiled me. He is my favorite and whenever I get the chance to work with him I jump on it.

MUEN: HOW TALL ARE YOU? AND WHAT ARE ALL THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MODELING YOU DO? DO YOU DO NUDES OR NO? AND HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED PLAYBOY?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: I am 55 and 114lbs. So this puts me in a certain category for modeling. I could never do high fashion or runway. But thats ok! I love print, pinup, bathing suit and lingerie. I have also done some artist nude modeling that was shown at an exhibition in Los Angelos. Yes I have considered Playboy. They portray women in a classy amazingly beautiful way.

MUEN: WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? THAT'S IF YOU "HAVE" ANY SPARE TIME? WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES AND OTHER INTERESTS?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: In my spare time I like to paint, read and travel. Anything that inspires me. I also like to enjoy my friends and family.

MUEN: WHAT DO YOU DO TO KEEP IN SHAPE? DO YOU WORK OUT OFTEN? ANY SPECIAL DIET?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Unfortunately as of now I have no diet or workout regimen. I guess I can thank my mother and father for that.

MUEN: WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS/BANDS WHETHER THEY BE WORLD KNOWN OR UNDERGROUND?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: My favorite bands vary widely. I like all genres of music. A few of my favorite artists are Marilyn Minter, Barnes, and Mark Ryden. Anything controversial.

MUEN: DO YOU WRITE POETRY?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Yes I do write poetry when I am in the mood. You can find a couple things I've wrote, on my blog from myspace.

MUEN: WOULD YOU SAY THAT MYSPACE HAS HELPED ALOT WITH YOUR CAREER? HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND ON MYSPACE, AND WHAT OTHER AVENUES DO YOU TAKE TO ENHANCE YOUR CAREER AND/OR CONNECT WITH YOUR FANS?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Yeah I would say myspace has furthered my career. It is a great way to network. You can also find good friends and interesting people on myspace as well. I try to get on myspace as much as possible to get back to all my friends but sometimes it is a little impossible. Other avenues I have to enhance my career are sites like One Model Place, Model Mayhem, and One Source Talent. These are great sites to look into if you are just starting out.

MUEN: WHERE ELSE BESIDES MYSPACE, CAN YOUR FANS LEARN MORE ABOUT YOU? CAN YOU LIST YOUR PERSONAL WEBSITE AND MODELING WEBSITES WHERE YOU CAN BE FOUND?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Besides myspace you can find me on www.zoomonme.com and www.missbrittney.com

MUEN: HOW CAN YOUR PICTURES BE ORDERED?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: My pictures can be ordered through my site www.missbrittney.com

MUEN: HOW DID YOU GET CHOSEN TO BE ON THE COVER OF THE FIRST ISSUE OF TATTOOED HOTTIES? WHO TOOK THE PHOTO FOR THAT? AND WHERE IS THAT ISSUE AVAILABLE?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: I got chosen to be on Tattooed Hotties first edition cover through voting. They posted girls everyone would like to see on the cover and people were nice enough to choose me. Meyer A. Jeans took my pictures for Tattooed Hotties. And he did an amazing job plus he is great to work with. The first issue can be ordered through their website in August. www.TattooedHotties.com.

MUEN: WHO DID THE TATTOO ON YOUR BACKSIDE? AND HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THAT? WAS IT PAINFUL? DO YOU HAVE ANY DESIRE TO GET MORE?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Mikey from Monster Tattoo in Pacific Beach Ca. designed and worked on my back. Honestly it wasnt painful. I think it actually relieved some stress. No I dont have any desire to get more tattoos. I am happy with the one I have, and I think Im going to stop there.

MUEN: WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR INFLUENCES? I WOULD THINK OF COURSE MARILYN MONROE WOULD BE ONE... WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON HER AS A PERSON AND MODEL/ACTRESS?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Marilyn Monroe....the name evokes many different feelings for many different people. Even within my own heart it evokes a mixture of emotions that cannot be put into words. To the fans who love her to this day, she is more than an actress, more than a beautiful face, more than the world's most famous blonde. I know the details, the tragic tales, the truth, the lies. It makes me want to cry to see those who never loved her making a fortune off lies that degrade her memory. The ones who truly love her sift through the lies and pull out the truth, and offer it up to the world, saying "Here. This is Marilyn, this is true. Don't believe the lies", and I thank them. From the bottom of my heart. Her memory is kept alive by the people who love her, and in some sense, she still lives in us, the fans, the ones who will never forget her.

MUEN: DO YOU HAVE ANY DESIRE TO DO FILMS, IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Films do strike an interest in me but I am a little bit shy when it comes to that. So I would have to build up some courage if I ever decided to go that route.

MUEN: YOU SEEM SO MATURE AND FULL OF WISDOM FOR YOUR AGE, DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE EXPERIENCED ALOT THUS FAR? WHAT WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD LIKE?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: I do feel mature and wise for my age. I went through a lot growing up and I have learned a lot. Every person in your life (good or bad) teaches you something important that makes you who you are. My motto is what doesnt kill me makes me stronger.

MUEN: DO YOU PREFER DOGS OR CATS?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: I prefer dogs, cats and just about every other animal. I am definitely an animal lover.

MUEN: DOES THE BUSINESS LEND YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL OFTEN THEN?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: Fortunately this business does give you the opportunity to travel. And that is one of my main goals in life. To travel as much and see as much of the world, before I die.

MUEN: IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW, WHERE WOULD YOU BE?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: If I could be anywhere in the world right now I would be right here, home! I just got back from Maui. And there is nothing like coming home to what you know. It feels great. Next I would love to go to Paris.

MUEN: WHAT ADVISE DO YOU HAVE FOR ANYONE JUST GETTING INTO THE MODELING BUSINESS? DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS TO SHARE OR KNOW THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: For anyone just getting into the modeling business I would say be careful! There are a lot of people out there that will try to use you and exploit you. Screen people before you agree to anything. Always reserve the right to bring someone to a shoot. And remember everyone is beautiful in their own way. Confidence is key. And if its something you want dont let anyone get in your way.

MUEN: WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO ACCOMPLISH IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS? WHAT IS FIRST ON BRITTNEY'S LIST?

BRITTNEY KEEFER: In the next few months I hope to accomplish beautiful new pictures, get great jobs, and meet more fantastic people. I would also like to keep working on making myself a better person, inside and out.

MUEN: WELL WE'RE WISHING YOU MUCH CONTINUED SUCCESS, AND THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO THIS!
