An Un-Edited Interview by Stephanie Marie, of a great metal band from Hungary - It was said somewhere that people who like Bridge to Solace also like Maroon, Born From Pain, and Faust Again. Don't much matter really, they rock and they're real.. I don't know, maybe we need to be posting lyrics for those over 30..:P


MUEN: Hey guys how's it going? Keeping it metal?

BTS: Hey baby!:) First of all, i totally suck at this, so I'm sorry about the lame answers, but our singer Zoli(who usually does this) is out on vacation.... so let's dig in.... yeah, we're keeping it fucking real, and you're beautiful!:)

MUEN: "Bridge to Solace" tell me about how you guys all came about?

BTS: well....the "legendary" story goes like this: On a wasted night in 2000 we decided to make some brutal fucking noise together, which is no big deal at all, because on drunk nights like this, "bands" are born like 1,2,3....this time thou it seemed to be kind of:) serious, as you see we left 3 albums and 5 European tours behind so far, and the 4th.album is gonna be out next year... the official story.....I don't know.

MUEN: You guys are actually still touring, how's the tour been so far? I'm sure it's been awesome since you've been touring with the guys from "Twelve Tribes".

BTS: well...the tour went pretty bad actually....:) I mean the 12t guys were awesome, and also these English guys, raging speedhorn were awesome, we had a lot of fun, but to be honest, kids didn't really show up, which sucks cause after 250 shows, and a couple of thousand sold records in Europe, we expected something else....fuck that, we had fun, and this is the point...actually we were drunk for three long weeks..:)

MUEN: Being from Hungary, are you guys hoping to tour the U.S any time soon?

BTS: jeez, sure, we had some offers already, but we're waiting for the HIT, so you guys better do something about it soon.... plus I could finally meet you in person, look deep into your eyes, and say : you're beautiful, I want you tonight!!:)

MUEN: Your record label with "GSR MUSIC" seems to be working out great with you guys, with the way the music scene is now a day's... where do you hope to see the band in the next five years?

BTS: well...hard question...if we were 10 years younger, I'd say we have the chance to grow "big"...meaning: big ass night liner tours, sold out 1000-1200 capacity clubs all over the globe, anytime, anywhere....well....NOT GONNA HAPPEN:))) we all have jobs, have bills to pay, the fucked up grown up stuff we all fucking HATE!!! ...so what we have left is a month touring a year, plus the weekend shows of course, but that couldn't be more than 50-70 shows all together a year, and that's very far from enough!

MUEN: The video for "The dead and the Unknown" is pretty kick ass, I like how I go to your band site bridgetosolace.org and the video is the first thing you see, can we look forward to any new videos this year?

BTS: Next year, for the new record.

MUEN: You guys just recently put out a album "Where Nightmares And Dreams Unite," can the fans be expecting any new material to be released before the year is over?

BTS: "Nightmares" is a year old baby now, and don't think we can finish the new one 'till the end of this year... I got 10 brand new songs in my head completely done, but we still need some time to practice...so I'd say we're going to record 'em January 2008...so it'll be out spring 2008....THE 4TH STRIKE....:)pffffff....sorry (....hope you're gonna edit this whole thing...:)

MUEN: I love the way "Ruins" starts off... it gives me that "I want to start a pit" feeling its fuckin awesome! Does "Zoltan" do all lyric writing or do all you guys put in ideas?

BTS: Thank you so much, that's sweet! in BTS everything's working the easiest way....Zoli's writing the lyrics, I'm writing the music....that's it, no extra ideas, no wasting time...:)

MUEN: When you guys first came out with "Of Bitterness And Hope" back in 2003, did you get as good feed back from the fans as you were hoping?

BTS: Shit yes!!! they were crazy...to be honest when i was listening to it at the first time, I said I don't fucking care what the kids think, because I wrote this shit, and I say this is the best fucking thing I ever heard....it's like a newborn baby...you don't care what the other people think about it. For you it's the most beautiful thing in the whole fucking world!! ...and then turns out, the kids love it too, they actually wanted us to tour with it, wanted buy shirts, wanted our signature....crazy shit....actually it was way more than what I was expecting....and we loved it:)
