It's very thrifty with diesel fuel, gets 19.5-20 mpg empty on the Interstate, 15.5 mpg towing 4000 lbs thru the mountains of NY and PA. It has the nice ride that you can only get in a truck made by General Motors. Drove a Powerstroke for enough to notice the rough ride that will shake the fillings out of your teeth. A smooth ride really helps make those long drives easier. Modifications (So Far): Turbo Technologies mandrel bent crossover exhaust pipe. Planned as time and money permits: BD 4" Monster Exhaust and Free Flow Muffler, Low Restriction Catalytic Converter, PMI Injection Modual Cooler, Direct Gear Drive Timing Assembly, Fresh Air Intercooler, AmsOil Synthetic Fluids in All Gear Boxes, Remove Restrictive Factory Exhaust Fender Snookle, Dual Outlet High Flow Crossover Thermostats With High Volume Water Pump, Post Mounted Exhaust Temperature, Trans Temperature and Turbo Boost Guages.
