LIVE 105 LOCAL BAND LAUNCH 2

THE PRIZE:
· One local band wins the chance to play on the Festival Stage at BFD 2003

THE CONTEST:
· The Live 105 music committee will select 16 bands as finalists to square off in a single-elimination tournament.
· The tournament will consist of a series of battles, where two bands will be played back to back, at which point the Live 105 audience will call in and vote on which band should move on.
· Two battles will take place each week on Soundcheck until the winner is chosen.

HOW TO ENTER:
· Mail in or drop off a CD at Live 105 no later than this Thursday, May 15th at 5pm.
· All entries must say Live 105 Local Band Launch and be put to the attention of Myles the Intern.
· If a CD has more than one song, circle one track for the Live 105 music committee to listen to.
· All bands that would like to be considered must submit a CD. Even if we already have your band's CD, it must be re-submitted especially for this contest.

San Francisco indie punk band MUD blends the energy of punk and the edge of metal into explosive grooves that speak to thrashing fans of such groups as Jawbreaker, the Deftones and Foo Fighters. Their pop punk sound is laden with edgy guitar riffs, a heavy bass groove and depth in song writing that matches the spirit of such emo bands as The Ataris.
