Windrock, TN 8/31/03

Chris Dalby TRYING to go up the hill to the Windmills. He never made it.
Gavin Foster also TRYING to get up the the Windmills, he was successful (eventually)
"Mmmmm.......Me want banana!"                                                                                      El Rango after it defeated the Windmill Hill (on my first try too.)
Gav trying the Windmill Hill again. He got pretty close.
Steven Shankles' truck is massive. It rattles like crazy but it is awesome. He didn't make it up, but got pretty close.
Steven's truck vibrates like a freight train over 35. It's awesome.
Gav attempting another, steeper hill. (I took the picture at the top after I drove up there.)
Dalby...DON'T FLIP!
Got kind of hairy there for a minute. Gav, Mr. Dalby and I had to counter balance the weight of Chris's Jeep. The picture doesn't give this hill justice at all, believe me it's steep.
The lift on Steven's truck is so massive that the angle of the driveshaft caused so much friction that it snapped. I mean the metal just came apart. So, he only had two wheel drive for the rest of the day, but it wasn't a big deal cause later his bed came seperated from is frame. It was hilarious. S*** happens.
The Jeeps (Chris's on the left, Gavin's on the right)
Man this was hilarious. Gav tried to get up the harder hill a second time and got a little sideways. It was pretty wet. I took pictures as Steven, Charlie, Daniel and Chris pulled.
Good flex for a stocker. Acutally, Chris's Jeep is almost completely stock and it did surprisingly well. Sadly enough, however he ended up towing me out after I got water in my air intake. (Stupid mistake, I'm getting a snorkel.)
Trust me, the vehicle positions are reversed 95% of the time, however it is only when a Land Rover is rendered useless will the owner allow such an atrocity to be performed (he had to tow me out after I went through the pool that Steven went through below.)
Such a sad yet common sight, a rover with it's                                                Gav took this one on my camera as I take the high road.
bonnet up. The air filter was caked in mud and water
and she wouldn't run till the next morning.
OK, this picture is awesome. Steven's truck is jacked up really high, and mine only a little. Imagine mine going through the same pool. Water poured over my truck. It was fun, but it is lame to not have it run afterwards.
