June 2003

In June we were thoroughly entertained by our speaker Gareth King who’s energetic and graphic talk on the battlefields of the midlands held us spellbound. His use of replica weapons and armour gave weight to his explanations of how each battle was fought and the tatics employed by opposing armies. If he can rustle up some further battles we would to have him back to entertain us once again. Thanks to the weather improving our finds seem to have followed in a like manner.
