Inquiries
Please fill out this form, and we will get back to you as
soon as we can. The easiest way would
be to right click and copy the
questions, and then paste it into an email. Thanks,

Labs
1.Do you own or rent your home?
2. If you rent, do you have land
lord permission? Please include contact information.
3.Do you have a
fenced yard or some other containment system?
4. Have you ever had a
lab before?
5. If so, when?
6. Do you have a preference for
sex/color?
7. If so, what is it and are you willing to take a puppy
which is not quite exactly what you want?
8. Are you aware that lab
puppies are high energy dogs which need lots of exercise?
9. Do you
plan to crate train?
10. Do you have children?
11. Are you
willing to sign a contract that states that if you need to place the puppy at
any time, it must come back to Mudd Hollow Labs first? This does
not mean that if you have a possible home available, it can not be presented to
me as an option for placement. It does mean that if you must place, the
placement is at the descrection of Mudd Hollow Labs. No Mudd Hollow puppy
may ever be placed in a shelter situation.
12. Do you plan to ship your
puppy, or would you prefer to pick up your puppy? In some cases, I am
willing to meet half way.
13. Mudd Hollow requires that
puppies not be allowed to jump up or down from high places such as a bed to
promote joint health. Puppies need to be self regulated for
exercise. This means that the puppy can not be a jogging partner and be
forced to exercise until its growth plates close. The puppy may not live
its life with constant concrete or similar substance footing. The puppy
may not be overweight, and we will help you take the best care of your
puppy. All of these situations are high stress to the puppies growing
joints and without following these conditions, the warrantee will be
void.
14. Are you willing to take the puppy to puppy
classes? Puppy classes give the opportunity for proper emotional growth,
as well as basic obedience skills. This will make the puppy's ability to
interact with outside dogs and stimuli less stressful, and therefore overall a
better dog. There are alternatives to this when classes are not available,
and can be discussed.
15. How many hours a day do you
work?
16. Who will let the puppy out when you are gone? Puppies
can not be crated more than 4 hours without needing to be let out to relieve
themselves.
17. How many hours a week will your puppy be crated
overall?
18. Do you have a vet?
19. Have you ever placed a
dog, and if so what was the situation around that event?
It is not
our intention to be meddlesome or overly involved in our puppies new
homes. We are willing to be as much, or as little help as is
desired. We ask these questions to help screen owners, not just so that we
can be confident that they will be a good homes, but also to match puppy
personalities to lifestyles. Ultimately, you will choose your own puppy
from our litters. However, more information is only beneficial for both
parties. If you have an active lifestyle, a shy, quiet puppy is not for
you. If you live a quiet life, then my most boisterous puppy would not be
for you either.
Thanks for
considering a Mudd Hollow Puppy.
