I have been riding motorbikes since I was 16. Started off on a BSA 250cc C15. Remember my Dad offering to buy me a Hillman Minx car if I would forgo the motorbike. Soon progressed to a Royal Enfield 700cc. Have had quite a few motorbikes including Kawasaki GPz600R , Suzuki GSX750 , Honda CX500 , Honda CB250N. Every September or October I use to buy a cheap small capacity motorbike to run over the winter and then sell early spring time. I have had Honda C90's , Suzuki 80's , CZ125 , Suzuki GS125 , Honda CB200 + CB125 , Jawa 350. Keep promising to go into the attic to try and find some more pictures of bike's I have owned. I have been to most of Europe firstly following the Grand Prix but more recently World Superbikes. My favourite circuit for endurance racing was Paul Ricard near Bandol in the south of France. Best party night is definitely Friday night in Assen , Holland and most fanatical crowd has to be the Spanish at the Catalunia Circuit. Closer to home you will find no better circuits than Oliver's Mount, Scarborough and Cadwell Park on the Louth Road. |

This is my VFR750FL. V4 engine with gear driven cams . Single sided swinging arm , 4 into 2 into1exhaust. Has, quite rightfully ,the reputation as the best all round motorcycle you can get . Touring , commuting , track days everything and anything you care to throw at her she manages very well . Only draw back to me is the petrol tank being too small . You can average 45 to 48 mpg no matter what speed you do but you still only get around 120 miles to a tankful . The previous model still had the same mpg figures but a larger tank/small air filter meant you got around 180 to 200 miles to a tankful . |
