For those of you that don't know me, I'm David Gerling. I live in Upstate New York about halfway between Rochester and Niagara Falls, in a little town called Lyndonville. I have raised rabbits my entire life, my Grandfather raised rabbits for meat and my father started showing them when he was around 10 and could join 4-H. He has continuously raised rabbits for the last 43 years, and I was born into it. I currently raise Rhinelaners, which I have had for about 10 years, and Rex, which we've had for around 15. In 2005 I was elected President of the RRCA. My Father breeds Holland Lops and has for close to 20 years. Along the way, we've raised about half the recognized breeds, and one that isn't anymore, the Blue Vienna. Dad always said that the only way to learn how to judge a breed is by putting your own on the table, and I'd have to agree with him.
I also used to raise pigeons and chickens as a hobby.
