A Little Bit About Me
Well, I live in Pennsylvania in practically the middle of no where.  I am 15 years old, and my birthday is July 24.  I have dyed red hair (I'm a natural blond) and dark blue eyes.   I'm a Sophmore and I am very nerdy when it comes to school.  I just love to learn, and anything I can possibly cram into my brain (except for math) I do.  I work very hard at all of my subjects, and in some I excel (such as English, Sciences, Languages, and Geography).  However, there are some that I struggle with, no matter how much work I put into them (Math).  Oh well, math won't be too important in the future for me.
In college, I want to major in Adult & Continuing Education and English, so I can become a College English Professor.  I really have a profound passion for English, but I didn't realize this until eighth grade (Thanks Mrs. Rhodes!).  Ever since then, I have continued to have wonderful English teachers, such as Mr. Bates and Mrs. Steiner Fox, whom have encouraged me to follow my dreams and always do my best at everything.
For a while, I struggled with the decision of what I wanted to do after college, but after finding myself always wanting to teach other people this and that, I decided to be a teacher.  As a teacher, I want to teach my students more than just how to write an eloquent story or all of the laws of grammar, I want to teach them to have character and to be the leaders of tomorrow.  I want them to learn the significance that a single life can have, and likewise, if I can reach out to just one of my students in the duration of my lifetime, I will die a happy person.  I guess some of the things I want to do in my future are reflected by what I'm doing now.
I'm a very busy person when it comes to school and extra-curricular activities, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  An average week for me consists of church, school (of course), band practice, bell choir practice, voice lessons, peer leadership meeting,  colorguard practice, chamber choir practice, BIC, a debate, and, in season, musical practice.  Oh, and lots and lots of homework!  Oh, yeah, and let's not forget occasional family time.
Well, about my family.  I live with my mom and my dad, and occasionally my sister, Suzanne, but she's usually off at college.  My mom, Kathy, is 45--(Happy Birthday, Mom!)  my dad, Danny is 50, and my sister is 22.  Since I'm busy, I don't really get to hang out with my family a lot.  And when I am home, I like to go outside or hang out in my room.
If I ever get any free time, I like to write in my journal..  And when I'm not doing that, I basically reflect on my day, the people I've seen, and all the events that occurred.  To be honest, it would take a lot to make me bored, because, if there's nothing else to do, or if I am sick and incapable of doing much, I like to think a lot.  It's strange, because I am really both introverted and extroverted.  Sometimes I just need some time to myself.  However, I never seem to get that time much anymore.
And if I'm really lucky and have an immense amount of free time, I will read a book, take a walk, paint, draw, write a poem, or write a song--it just depends upon my mood.  Usually I do these things in summer, when free time is abundant.  Last summer, I mostly got to draw and paint.
I really enjoy art.  I'm best at drawing people, but since I do not yet have a scanner, I cannot really display any pictures.  Hopefully that will change soon.  As much as I like art, I do not believe I have much of a future in it.
I do hope, however, that traveling will be in my future.  I really want to tour Europe and see everything from the Swiss Alps to the white cliffs of Dover.  I want to see the world, for there is so much beyond my rural community in Western Pennsylvania.  II suppose that's enough about my future, hmm...what else is there to say...
Well, my favorite color is true blue, maybe with the slightest hue of green.  I really can't choose a favorite genre of music, for it varies from day to day (or hour to hour).  My favorite movie is the Green Mile, though I like the Star Wars trilogy a lot, too.  My favorite books genres are mysteries, thrillers, science fiction (occasionally), and tragedy.  I love to hang out with my friends, and once I get my scanner I am going to make an exteremly large page filled with endless pictures and stories about them.  Well, I suppose that's it about me, but don't forget to check out the rest of my website!
