Introduction to computing course

You will look at the basic hardware and software components that make up computer systems and carry out basic installation and configuration. You will design and create databases, and use hardware and software to create and edit computer-generated images, using them to enhance documents.

The course also covers the role of IT networks in organisations and learn how to set up a small network for personal or commercial use. You will develop a knowledge and understanding of the uses and features of mobile communications devices.
