| Chad
(top)
Chad Gray, is the vox for the band. Chad is one of the
hardest working vocalist I've seen. He's known for his "long blue
beard" and his bloodcurling scream at the beginning of the song Dig.
Chad attended an art school, and grew up in a very unhealthy enviornment.
Reflections of his childhood can be heard in his music and shows strong
is the song Cradle. He is in his early 30s, and continues to sing magnificantly
on stage and off. Also rumored to be doing a side project with a couple
of bands, Chad still maintains the band we know as Mudvayne. Ryan (top) Ryan Martinie is an energetic power house. In live tours
(and in videos) he NEVER stops moving, like he has a sugar high from hell.
His bass playing skills are fantastic, and unbeliveably fast. In their
first studio lbum release in August of 2000, Ryan used a Warwick 5-string
bass. When The End of All Things to Comewas released, he switched to a
4-string bass, because the songs only required a four string the fifth
string was a waste. In World So Cold, he uses his 5-string bass, I belive.
(If this is not true, e-mail me and correct me)The color of Ryan's basses
are black, woodpained and red, as far as I know. Ryan Martinie is somewhere
in his 20's, and has two tattoos. One is the awsome tattoo on his chest,
that he recieved on the Tattoo the Earth Tour. The other is a ying yang
on his back. When on tour durring the latter of 2002 Mudvayne played a
show in Atlanta. Ryan was the only member to brave the cold and stand
for hourswith fans just talking. Ryan seems to have a firm grasp on his
fans and in what he believs in. Ryan played in a jazz band in high school
and has said to change his music up from time to time but adores jazz.
He mentioned that he knows what its like to work for a living having worked
in factories himself. Along with his stronghold on the constitution and
the rights of the people, Ryan knows that he was put on a purpose and
that purpose is "to be on stage." He spent 2-3 hours talking
with fans (including David), taking pictures and signing his name. Not
once did he complain or try to leave. Greg, is the guitarist for the band. Greg performes some
of the most awsome and thrilling guitar riffs in World So Cold, Dig and
many more. Like Matt, Greg assists Chad with the lyrics. He was reffered
to as a watermelon or ladybug by some, for the ladybug resemblance in
the makeup. As you watch Greg in the Dig video and wonder what those pointy
objects are on his face, they reveal that they are Bugels. Greg sports
some awsome guitars. For instance his Crystal V Guitar, which he performed
with on the Merry Mayhem Tour. He also has a black Flying V, as well as
his classic black Gibson guitar he played in the Dig video. Greg also
played a red guitar in the Death Blooms video, most likely another Gibson.
He appears to be a very quiet person. He says very little on the dig dvd
and the dvd that was shippped with The End of All Things to Come. Without
Greg, Mudvayne wouldn't be as powerful as they are now Matt (top) Matt, the drummer for the band. Most likely the oldest
in the band, Matt helps write the lyrics Chad sings. Very interested in
astrology, Matt is the one to reveal the secret of 12:97:24:99 sometime
in the near future. Without Matt's excellent display of double bass, Dig,Not
Falling, and much more wouldn't be as appealing or exciting as the songs
are. Matt is also the one with the strange and mysterious tattoos on his
chest, legs and arms. These tattoos piece together something, as do the
numbers of 12:97:24:99, which again, will be revealed in the near, not
far future. As stated in the Dig dvd matt owned a tattoo parlor back home.
His entire right leg is filled. Typically viewed as the calm one in the
band, Matt is the driving force in the beliefs and message Mudvayne displays.
