Road Trip...
Comedy
If you like lots of laughs, boobs and famous lines, then see this movie as soon as possible. The basic plot is about 4 college students named Josh, E.L, Rubin and Kyle who embark on a 500 mile road trip to Austin, Texas to recover a video of Josh and Beth(another college student) having sex. Some weird, funny-ass shit happens on the trip and the whole movie ends up meeting new people and trying to get the tape back. In all, this movie was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time and it's worth the money to rent it or buy it.
The Shawshank Redemption...
Drama
Another great movie. The plot is about a man named Andy Dufresne who has been convicted of killing his wife and is sentenced to a life term at Shawshank Prison. The only thing is, Andy knows he's innocent but becomes somewhat reclusive during his first days at Shawshank. Over a period of time, he becomes friends with the staff, his fellow inmates and a a man named Red. The movie is about how Andy copes with his prison time while significant events occur around him which include murder, conspiracy and deceit. The movie also shows great perserverance of the human spirit even through hard times. Although this movie isn't the greatest, this movie is one of the best that I've seen in a long time and is truly a great rent. You won't be disapointed. The only major problems with this movie, is the way it promotes homosexuality in one specific scene. That's my only major beef with an otherwise terrific movie.
Charlie's Angels...
Comedy/Action
Picture in your mind 3 attractive women. Now imagine them dressed in revealing outfits and with the knowledge of martial arts. Sounds like a pretty good movie right? Wrong. Unfortunately, because the writers included a bunch of silly catch phrases, a crappy villian and cornballish music it makes the film utterly stupid. Hey, don't get me wrong, I love to see women in scantily clad suits but for about 1/4 of the movie Drew Barrymore seduces, sleeps and gets naked. Which takes the fun out of it, JK. Just because the actors acted silly and the plot wasn't very good, this is a sub-par flick.
Down To Earth...

Not bad for a remake. Chris Rock plays a suprisingly unfunny comedian named Lance Barton. After a night at the Apollo Comedy Club, Lance sees the girl of his dreams walking down the street. Unfortunately, while this happens he's accidentally hit by a truck. In a few moments, Lance is transported to heaven, but after a few moments the managers realize that Lance died 44 years too early. So...they stick him into the body of a billionaire and some serious wacky crap happens. Ever seen a 56 year old white man dance around to the music of DMX? You'll have to see the rest of the movie to find out what happens...anyways, this was a mediocre movie that has funny parts to it, but also some dumb parts. The casting was pretty good, Rock and the MILF from American Pie was in it. I give it a 3.
