WHY ISN'T ANYBODY POSTING ANYTHING?  IS EVERYBODY IN PM?

Probably.  Probably not.  It maybe as simple as refreshing the room or the worse is rebooting the PC.

"Refresh?  What the hell are you talking about?" you might say.  Heheh... by "refresh" I meant clicking the refresh button on your browser.  Another method is by pressing the [F5] key or by choosing View > Refresh from the menu.

"Read my lips: I use Messenger! Where is the refresh button???"   Geeze... I ain't finished yet. In Yahoo! Messenger, just exit the room (press the [ESC] key) then rejoin the room.

Now, the question is... how often?  Hmmm... it depends... if the room was "alive" before, then it suddenly just went "dead," probably it's time to refresh.  But before you do that, try posting something first, like... say, "Is anyone posting anything?"  If nobody answers for the next 30 seconds, refresh.  Also, bear in mind that chat rooms are not alive 24x7.  There are also idle times when the room goes dead (or even don't get listed in the room list!)  So, timing is also a factor.
