It was unfortunate that we
went there during the peak period and we had problem finding lodging. As we
couldn't afford Hua Hin Hilton, It was only after many tries we landed a place
near the beach. However, there isn't any hot shower available :( We took public
transport from Bangkok and I think it took about 3-4 hours before we reached
there. We had to pay more to stay at a place whose standard didn't match the
price. The beach was lively but there were more locals as compared to foreigners.
It wasn't quite ideal for a dip as the water was freezing at that time! There
were horses available for a ride on the beach and many "aunties" who
walked around provided healthy massage and manicure services.
There are lots of high class resorts and spas but those are mainly to the more affluent. Wish I had the chance to stay at the the spa resorts there and waste myself away... Anyway, apart from dreaming the impossibles, we spend the night roaming the night market and tasted local delicacies like fried mini crabs. Hmm, yummy...
