I am taking Wushu, which is Chinese for 'Martial Arts'...and that's what it is. I just finished a dinner theatre at my old church, the play was called "Never Too Late". Then I did "Goofball and the Queen of Dreamland" for Gateway's children's theatre. After that was Saskatoon Summer Player's "The Pirates of Penzance, SK". It was a blast!! So I'm SUPER busy!!
Ok...so...let's see, we've gone so far since I last updated my site. Let's see...
After Pirates, I was asked by "Bedbug" from "Goofball" if I would consider being his Stage Manager for his production of "I Take This Man" at the Off Broadway Dinner Theatre. The show started rehearsals on August 16, 2005 and the show started its run on September 16, 2005. It's basicly run every Thur., Fri., Sat., and Sun. And it's last night will be this Saturday (November 5, 2005). It's been a crazy long run, and it will be nice to have some life back...
However...I'm also playing two parts, Aunt Maude and The Fairy Godmother. As well as being Assistant Stage Manager. It is also at OBDT, but is children's lunchtime theatre so it only runs Sat., and Sun. lunches. We end that on the first Sat. in Feb.
I'm also playing Fred in "Once Upon A Mattress" at St. Paul's dinner theatre this year. She's a wanna-be tom-boy princess! (Haven't even seen the script for this one yet!)
I also was given a great honour...I was asked to head props at Gateway!!!! So I get my keys to the building on Saturday!
This year was my first audition for Saskatoon Summer Players. I was lucky enough to get a part as one of the daughters in their production of "The Pirates of Penzance, SK" (it was our modified version for our province's centenial) We got to sing the Arrogant Worm's song "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate". It was a great experience and I had fun painting and set building, along with many other tasks!!
I was also the 'Script Assistant/Props' and lucky enough to get to play 'Lamb' for a few of the performances in Gateway's Children's Theatre production of "Goofball and the Queen of Dreamland". I am in Wushu. I was one of the leads in the play, "Never Too Late", done by the St. Paul's Players. I scrapbook, I RPG, I read, I play computer...you get the idea...super busy right now!
