Chances are playing Rock Paper Scissors (RPS) won�t make you rich, famous, sexy, or intelligent. But it can provide an insight into the complexities of human behaviour, teach honour, and foster sportsmanship. It is playable by all ages, is easy to learn, and needs no special equipment or space. The rules are simple; so simple that novices often play it as a game of chance. Yet the complexity of RPS is only limited by the minds of its players and victory for the advanced player demands wits, technique, and strategy. |

The purpose of this society is;
1. To promote RPS as a fun and safe way to resolve disputes.
2. To educate others regarding the rules, customs, etiquette, and strategies of RPS.
3. To be involved in many areas of the sport, including tournaments at both local and international levels, research studies, conferences, workshops, symposiums, retreats, and publications.
4. To act as the overseeing body for all RPS tournaments held at Macquarie University.
5. To conserve the roots of RPS and to protect the purity of RPS from those who would wish to alter it. |
