| HOEGAARDEN WHITE - Guru Hoegaarden is a beer that is a little different. It dates back to a recipie from 1445 when monks brewed the beer in the small Belgian town of Hoegaarden, near Brussels. It undergoes a complex fermentation process, actually being fermented twice (the second takes place in the bottle). It has a unique taste, both sweet and sour with a slight bitterness due to its ingredients of coriander and dried curacao orange peel. Resembling Juicy Fruit chewing gum, it is perfectly refreshing on warm, sunny days. According to tradition, the first Hoegaarden of the day must be finished in 3 gulps. |
