| Kinder: Sonrisas! An early childhood Spanish language curriculum uses a combination of stories, art, dance and music that appeals to each learners strengths. Because music is a "magical" tool that reaches students of all ages, songs, body motions and play are the central focus of the program. Parents may participate and support Spanish learning at home with a CD which contains all the songs children will learn in class. A "home report" will keep communication open between us. Por favor, take a peek at the Sonrisas web site and you will see why I am so excited about our new curriculum! |

| Grade 1: "Muy Bien!" Students will continue to enjoy learning Spanish with music, puppets, big books, felt boards, posters, and picture cards. The emphasis for Grade 1 is comprehension, conversation and word recognition. Grade 2 will build their vocabulary to achieve a higher level of comprehension and conversation. A student text and practice book are part of this level. I believe we will have an exceptional year of learning and fun! |
