| In order to foster an environment that promotes successful learning for ALL, we will practice the following behaviors in Spanish class and hopefully, everywhere we go! I know that choosing to stop (para) in order to (para) be patient, to check our attitude, to practice respect and to be kind will make a big difference in school, at home and on Earth! These are the expectations and guidelines for the behavior policies and procedures in Spanish class. Here is what P.A.R.A. might look like in our room: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| PACIENCIA Be flexible. Remind ourselves often that only the Creator is perfect. Raise our hands and wait to be called on to ask questions or respond. Ask for passes, to drink water, get a tissue, etc.,only if it is absolutely necessary. ACTITUD Always do our best. Make a commitment to learn something new each day. Take ownership for my own behavior. Participate positively in all activities. Arrive to class prepared and on time, ready to learn. RESPETO Listen the first time asked, "dame los cinco!" Keep classroom organized and neat. Think about the rights and feelings of others. Allow others to speak without interruption. Follow classroom procedures and those in the HFS handbook. Be careful with the belongings of the school, "la maestra" and other students. Be in assigned seat with all materials needed when the class begins. AMABILIDAD Help each other. Speak with good purpose. Use "por favor" and "gracias" often. Think of how I want to be treated and treat others the same. |
