| On November 1st, there was enough sun and wind for the fourth grade students to fly their "barriletes". In the Guatemalan traditon, each kite was decorated in a unique manner to honor a special person or pet who had passed away. A note with a loving message was attached to the kite, believing that it would reach the soul of the departed. There is no doubt the love and smiles in their hearts were received by their beloved on this special day! Muchas gracias al Sr. Solis for hand making 36 kites! |
