The scouts have been busy. On March 12, 2002 the scouts met at the PLUK (Parents Let's Unite for Kids) Office and began working on their computer fun badge. Arlon Gunderson began by giving a brief history of computers. The scouts learned the first computer is 2000 years old. You guessed it - the abacus. Next the kids typed a story and saved it to a floppy disk. Soon they were surfing the net, installing software and playing computer games. We would like to thank the PLUK Office for their assistance and hospitality. |
