Mount Stuart Scout Group
Mt Stuart Scouts - 50 years in 2009

50 Years of Mt Stuart Scouting

In July 1959, a small pack of Cubs was formed in Mt Stuart. On August 28 of that year these Cubs met for the first time at the Mt Stuart Memorial Hall. Our group has grown and evolved since then, and so far we have found records of about 550 youth and 120 adults at Mt Stuart. In 2009, Mt Stuart Scout Group turns 50.

To help us celebrate, all past and present Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers/Senior Scouts, Rovers, Leaders and Parents are invited to an open afternoon at the Mt Stuart Hall on August 30, 2009. The afternoon will be an opportunity to see how Scouting has changed (and how it has stayed the same!), and share some memories with old friends. Activities will include a BBQ, Pinewood Derby Kit Cars, Rope Bridge and more.

If you are a former member we would love to hear from you, and also whether or not you are able to attend.

When: Sunday 30th August, 2009. 12-4 pm
Where: Mt Stuart Memorial Hall, Byard St, Mt Stuart.
