Adrian Meksartus
(Morgan Warpath)
Age:

Adrian Meksartus believes he is still a nineteen year old soldier, although his body is actually 865 years old.
Personality:

Morgan was a cold and seemingly uncaring person to most, even though most people only saw him before dying at his hands. However, when he was a child he was raised as a privileged youth trained in the ways of war from an early age and served in battle immediately after his graduation from the academy. Although he was very knowledgeable of the world back then, he knows nothing of the world now and is incredibly confused about what happened to him and often wonders what happened to everyone he used to know. He is uncertain if he is still in the same land at all anymore. Despite this he still keeps a fairly positive, although realistic, view on life and tries to be caring and hospitable to people. Adrian has a very overpowering sense of justice at times, and it gets him in trouble from time to time, especially because the personality of his new mentor, Vincent de' Darkfang, is more closely related to Morgans. He has very few fears and will not hesitate to kill someone however.
Race:

Adrian believes he is a human, but this is not the truth. Every memory after his death is lost to him, and any person who he may have met throughout his many centuries as a demon is a complete stranger to him. Even Vincent de' Darkfang, the demon hunter who exorcised him, is a mystery to Adrian. Now that Adrian has been exorcised of the demon, all memories from before when he first died to his exorcism have been lost to him.

The truth is that from birth Adrian carried within him the slumbering arch-demon Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos, the disciple of the God of Chaos. After his first death, Adrian re-awoke as a half-demon, with the ability to ascend to a demonic form at will and demi-godlike strengths and abilities.
Characteristics:

Adrian, or Morgan as most knew him, is a man who looks to be about in his early twenties with short dark brown hair, with a few sunlit strands of blonde poking through towards his small, jagged bangs. His eyes have been described many things, but the best way to describe them would be to say that he has cold, blue unforgiving eyes that seemed to hide most emotions except for rage, and grew colder and more uncaring as he aged.. But that was then, when he was known to a select few as Morgan Warpath, the chaos incarnate. Now his eyes seem to have a light behind them, as he tries to understand the new world surrounding him. His eyes now can change from anger to confusion to happiness in a matter of moments. This also applies to his lips, which were locked in a seemingly emotionless state.

Adrians body defies his age, as it resembles the body of a veteran warrior more than the body of a nineteen year old. Towering over many at 62, his body reveals solid muscle at every point, almost like a scientific drawing of a man. Scars cover portions of his body, especially his back, shoulders, and arms. Although he cannot remember where they are all from, they are a mix of wounds from whips, swords, and daggers. Some of his scars he cannot recall ever receiving during his military training, and it is something that baffles him.
Equipment:

Although Adrian was trained in a wide range of weapons, he prefers to use a bastard sword. The blade he uses was handpicked from a blacksmiths shop and carries no special properties, even though he wields it with experience decades beyond his age. He awoke with a multitude of assassins daggers on him, hidden in various places. There is one dagger concealed on the back of each calf, and a set of small daggers is also strapped to his chest, even though they are covered by his armor. He also keeps a much more common dagger slung beneath his blade. Adrian does not utilize a shield during fighting because he wields the bastard sword with both hands for increased power.

Adrian wears a suit of armor from the same blacksmith that sold him his sword, but with a few modifications. He sketched the crest of the Meskartus family onto a piece of paper and had the blacksmith engrave it into the breastplate of his armor, and was slightly annoyed when the blacksmith commented that he had never seen the crest before. Covering his armor is a worn, yet surprising durable, long black hooded cloak that he awoke with. On the inside left side is a place for hanging a blade, but Adrian has no use for it because he hangs his sword at his side.
Strengths:

Lesser Demonic Strength:

Although Adrian is completely unaware of his former powers, he still possesses a certain fraction of his strength. Even if it is nothing compared to the power that Morgan could wield at times, in comparison to a normal human it is a large difference. His heritage effects his agility, endurance and strength. Adrian is mostly unaware of these abilities, even though he is bewildered by his own strength at times because his memories of his physical powers contrast greatly with his present self.

Combat:

Partly because of his fathers renown as a general and partly because of his own prodigal skill, Adrian was enrolled in a military academy from childhood on. There he was trained in many fighting disciples and weapons, and is completely capable of handling himself in a fight. Even without his demonic enhancements he would be a fearful force on a battlefield.
Weaknesses:

His Search for His Past:

In his quest to learn the truth about himself, something Vincent has always kept from him, Adrian will take incredible risks to find answers. This has often gotten him into trouble, and has almost gotten him killed. Anybody who knows about his quest could use his undying thirst to learn about what happened to bait him into doing their bidding or a deadly trap. Adrian often puts his quest in front of everything else, and will not hesitate to leave something he was doing to pursue a new lead.

Mortality:

Adrian is still mortal, and can be killed. He is harmed in the same ways that every other normal human is, although he has an increased weakness to extreme temperatures. Also, holy weapons or holy attributes seem to have a very harmful effect on him, and being in the presence of a highly holy object or place begins to effect his constitution.
Past:

Adrians body is ruled by three entities; Morgan Warpath, Adrian Meksartus, and the demon Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos. For the first nineteen years of his life Adrian was a military brat and was always immersed in militaristic activities. His father was training him to be a war hero just like he was, and this came to prove true as war enveloped the nation and began to wear it to near death. Adrian had recently graduated the military academy, but on the day of the ceremony the opposing armies broke through the countrys defenses and began to raid the country, and one of their targets was the academy. With the goal of wiping out the next generation of skilled soldiers and officers before they could be used in battle, they massacred a large portion of the schools students, including all of its junior members. The only survivors were a small group of senior students, Adrian included. By the time the main army arrived, the enemy had been partly defeated. Among the group of survivors that had lasted that long, more died later on from injuries. Adrian himself spent time in medical care before being called to the frontlines for battle.

He was assigned to his fathers unit and given a group of soldiers to lead, and proved to be highly skilled in combat. As they began to turn the enemy out of their lands and into their own, Adrian quickly climbed the ranks until he was fighting almost alongside his father. In a battle that was supposed to turn the tide completely and begin the march of their forces into the enemys homes, a devastating ambush massacred much of the army and left Adrian and his fathers units surrounded by enemies. The last thing that Adrian can remember is him, his father, and a small group of men attempting to retreat into friendly ground. This is where Adrians memory ends. Although Adrian believes that he has been separated from his father, the truth is that his father commanded his soldiers to guard Adrian until he reached the King to tell him what had happened, and then turned back to attempt to hold off the enemy. Adrian managed to make it a fair distance past the enemy before looking back and seeing his fathers body, crumpled and mangled, impaled on the lance of an officer heading towards him.

What happened next was disputed by historians for years to come, as some reports claimed that the enemy had summoned a great demon and that was the cause of their success in the battle, and that the demon then turned rogue and rampaged throughout the night slaying everything in its way. Others claimed that Adrian was turned on by a few jealous soldiers, who stalled Adrian and his loyalists long enough for them to be slain by the enemy. Both reports are partly true, except that the demon that was unleashed was not summoned, rather it was the awakening of Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos after Adrians death. In the years to come afterwards, both countries were brought into ruin. Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos had taken control of Adrian, and molded him into a perfect human of sorts. Only when Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos was weakened in years later did he give up control, and Adrian re-assumed control of his body. A nomadic tribe found him and nursed him back to health, and taught him their ways. In the time he spent with them he married a priestess of the tribe, and grew very close to her father, the chieftain. He barely noticed any of the changes that had happened to him, partly because he subconsciously did not want to know. They told him a story about a tournament of sorts held by the Gods where their incarnates would fight each other and absorb the others powers into a rune carried on their right hand, and the victor would face the gods to receive a prize. There has never been a winner, and the competition has re-started every millennia because once an incarnate reaches an age of one thousand, he dies. Adrian had blocked out memory of what had happened to him due to the trauma, so the story meant little to him. However, when the Evil incarnate came to the tribe and slaughtered the entire tribe searching for Adrian to claim his rune, which Adrian had thought to be a strange scar on his right hand, he remembered all that had happened to him. The death of his wife enraged Adrian, and he felt a great pain inside of his body.

It started in his chest and spread like a slow fire throughout his entire body, before it resonated throughout every part of him. It felt like his skin was literally on fire, and he could feel his body changing from the inside. Muscles grew, bones changed, his size greatly grew, and he could feel wings tearing through his back. As he screamed out in pain, the transformation completed and he was the demon. Except he had full control of himself, as well as a dark voice instructing him. One of the things that the elder had told him was that when the human died, the demon awoke and took control, and that when the demon died, it reversed. The incarnate could only be killed in the fully demonic form, which was the form that Adrian was in now. He managed to fight off the Evil incarnate, although his wounds were many and caused him to pass into unconsciousness. When he awoke, he was a human once more. He knew about what had happened to him and the changes that had occurred in him, he also knew that if he wanted to he could manifest himself into the demonic form. Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos was now awakened and could speak with Adrian from time to time, and told him about what he had to do and offered to share control of his body with Adrian, like a co-ownership of a body where the two would sort of fuse into one co-dependant being. Adrian refused the idea, and in turn Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos seized control of his body and roamed the world as a human once more. Except this time, when Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos manifested into the demonic form, his energy was drained and he lost control to Adrian once more. This would become the cycle for Adrians life, each time he became the demon he lost control, and vice versa.

When Adrian re-gained control, he assumed a new name, Morgan Warpath, a name he found fitting because wherever he walked carnage seemed to follow. He decided to fight in a series of wars as a mercenary who always disappeared at the end of the war. Morgan was employed by a great number of people throughout the centuries as an assassin, mercenary, or thug who would change his side based on whoever gave the best deal. He left no traces of his work, and many of his employers were found dead because of other contracts. Throughout the years his actions grew increasingly more chaotic and violent, and his power seemed to grow with each act. He felt new strength when surrounded by conflict, and weakened where there was peace, even though he had an aura of chaos enveloping him. The changes that had happened to him had greatly impacted his personality. As the centuries passed Morgan came to love only a few people, mainly because he was afraid of love itself. Each person that he had loved seemed to suffer, his first wife was brutally slain by the Evil incarnate and other loves died in tragic ways as well. The last person that Morgan loved was the Love incarnate herself, who died at the hands of the Evil incarnate later on. This event was the final act that cemented Morgans personality. As time passed he also began to resent Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos more and more, as he blamed him, and the Gods, for all of his suffering. He saw his immortality and strengths as a curse, and tried to further distanced himself from them. Morgan slowly began to change, he befriended a select few humans and other creatures who he came to aid at many times.

However, his chaotic curse followed him and each person seemed to die, until it reached the point where Morgan chose the life of a hermit. He left many of the great possessions that he had collected in his mountain hideout, before leaving for a forest where he slowly began to die. Morgan had learned that his immortality was from his usage of demonic energies, and that if he stopped feeding off of Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos, he would age. Morgan aged rapidly, and was finally a dying old man when Vincent, a demon hunter, found him and attacked him. Morgan was forced to tap into Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticoss energies, and was once more immortal. His rage at Vincent for foiling his plans of death caused him to unleash a series of brutal attacks at Vincent, whos death seemed to be imminent. Vincents only choice was to use a powerful exorcising method on Morgan, which had been passed down throughout Vincent demon hunter lineage. The method seemed to exorcise Shy'zik Kisn Kaoticos, and the result was the current Adrian. He had no memories of his life, and the last thing he remembered was him and his father trying to escape. Vincent's, wounded and near-death, was brought back to health by Adrian, who in turn was strangely accepted as an apprentice by Vincent. Vincent taught Adrian about the world and agreed to help him learn about his past. A long forgotten part of Vincent's personality connected with Adrian, part of him wanted to keep and eye on Morgan to see if it was a ruse, and another part wanted to keep Adrian as a replacement child.
