MT. SALEM PRIMARY & JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STRIVING HIGH TO BUILD AN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PARADIGM |
Mt. Salem Primary & Junior High School now has as one of its aims to strive and be a cut above the rest. One of the ways they have tried to accomplish this is through the establishment of a Information Technology Laboratory. The vision of the Principal, Mrs. Veronica Stephenson-Hines and the dediction and committment of one teacher, Miss Keisha Thompson, saw the birth of a room dedicated to the teaching of and exposure to Information Technology. This coupled with the efforts of the teachers on staff and members of the private sector, have led to students now being better able to function in a technologically advanced world. |

The laboratory, although small, has the basic necessities that humble computer labs have - a fan, whiteboard, projector and four computers to instruct over seventeen hundred students. |

Although the bell has rang for dismissal, interested students still hang around to learn more on how to care for and manipulate all devices connected to the computer. |
