At NITK surathkal with class
mates ,I'm the first one in sitting row from left,
August 27, 2002I did my schooling in the year 1984 at Weaver's colony school. In early school days, I was having only few things to do ... Picking neem seeds in summer vacation and selling them, with that money used to buy books for the next year classes, Helping parents in weaving the mosquito net related looms and I'm perfect in weaving and at last as every child do playing with friends and watching movies.
Then I moved to Govt. Boys High school for high school education. The days I spent here are unforgettable even in the next life if god gives it me. I learnt a lot from this school. In my 10th standared I stood town 2nd. Hmmmm!! I missed the First with 10 marks.
In high school days most of the times we used to play football, cricket and vollyball. But don't have any medals to show off. In summer I used to drew pictures and I love to go for swimming with friends.
I did my Intermediate in Adoni Arts and Science college, which is a famous college in our Dist and its a good college for Mathamtics. I have changed the medium of course. Initial days I was a bit uncomfortable but I've overcome that in few months. I enjoyed calculus, Integrals, Trigonometry and Geometry in those days and the lecturers were too good. I can't forget mathamatics lecturers Madhusoodhan shastry, Jaganmohan and Chandrasekhar sir's.
I did my bachelor degree in Vijay Rural Engineering college and graduated in the year 2001. I faced a lot of financial problems in these days and I was with problems. But used to forget all these by getting good marks. The lecturers are not good in teaching. We were learning on our own and I gained a lot being staying with the Juniors. They always used to ask questions and I was never forgetting the subject. Thanks to the one who used to pose questions to me ....
Well, in 1999 I met DRDO scientist Nageshwara Rao. Who had helped me a lot and used to encourage me. With his help I did my project in the DRDL, Hyd under the guidence of Scientis Sreenivasulu on Akash missile health monitoring (Mutichannel Data acquistion systems). Thanks a lot to Nageshwara Rao and Sreenivasulu.
In my Graduation days I'll never forget these guys.... Venkat Ratnam sir (Maths), Sreenivas sir (Machanics and Drawing ), Aprana madam (MEPA) and Sampath sir. MEPA madam always used to scold me in the calss as I was not taking her notes when she was teaching and once she twisted my ear in the calss because of not following her notes but at last me also the one who got good marks in her subject.
Fine, soon my graduation I went for post graduation. I did my masters in NITK ( formerly KREC), surathkal. We enjoyed a lot in msters course. Friends from different places with different culture, Wow, every day was good. The sea shore(Arabia sea), the time we spend in watching tides, the full moon days at sea shore, when ever we get boared in class watching at sea shore are chreeshable throughout my life. I guess even to my collegues also.
You know this, I always in all the classes used to stood out of the class room, bcz of coming late. I havn't escaped from this even while doing masters. Thanks to Prof. Kamath. I never foget his taunts in the final lab. He scolded that " Mr. Raju won't wake-up in the morning, generally in the late morning(7.45AM) the power will go off and the fan stops swinging. Mosquites will byte Mr. Raju to tell him the GoodMorning and hurry burry he will come to class and waits out side for Prof. Kamath's permission"
I had a perfect room mate. Thanks god giving me the good mate. He is Veera Vara Prasad who was doing SACA course. He also had similar thoughts as I had. Common, He is a good puzzele killer. I have ever seen such a sharp guy who solves puzzels in seconds in my friends circle. Keep it up Prasad.
The masters batch, Bhaskar, Suresh sir(the devil's), my project mate Vishwa, Anand, Rajasekhars(IE and IS), Ramanad, Shankar(Professor), Ravichandra, Shenoy, Vani, Savitha (the madams in our class),vijay vargees, Pradeep, Nithin, Krishna Kumar, Mahesh, Anand sir. All are co-operable good mates.
Then to do masters thesis work we started searching projects. We applied for Intel. I got reply from Valluri Laitha the Intel HR. During that time the mails flooded between us and I got project work at Intel on "Optimizing layout design rules for ECOs" under the guidence Vijay Pathri. At the same time I got selected for IISc also. I joined IISc as I won't get student life later in my life where as I have a chance to get job in Intel. I think I've taken good decision. But god knows which is correct.
Along with me my collegue Vishwa also joined. All the SAG members (Speech and Audio Group) at IISc are used to call us as Vishwa_Raju. We did thesis work on "Automatic Language Identification" under the esteemed guidence of Prof. T.V. Sreenivas and Dr. RamaSubraManiyam.
We developed a VAD based recording system to develope Indian Language Database(ILD). We used anechoic chamber to record the speech sample of the speakers. We recorded almost all 600-650 people speech samples.
After the masters course I joined Xalted Networks and still working for the same on telecom prodcut development.
