| Freestyle levels are designed for the skater who has passed al of the Basic Skill levels and shows an interest in increasing their figure skating skills. Skaters learn jumps, spins, footwork, and other exciting athletic moves. Private lessons are offered through coaches registered with the MPFSC. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A mastery program intended for advanced freestyle skaters. Elements stress body control, edge quality, power and fluid execution of edges and turns. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Drop-in Freestyle Ice | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Freestyle ice is available for skaters who are interested in increasing their practice skating time and for private lessons. To be eligible to use the ice, a skater must have passed level 4 or above, or be taking private lessons. Drop-in ice fees are as follows: Drop-in ice sessions are: 30 minutes of ice time $7.00 Monday 5-6 p.m. 60 minutes of ice time $12.00 Thursday 5-6 p.m. Ice contracts are available to help decrease the cost of ice time. See ice monitors for details. On Tuesdays from 5:00-5:50 p.m. the Community Recreations Center offers drop-in ice for a fee of $10.00. |

| The Next Step Program is designed to introduce skaters and their parents to the private lesson. Private lessons improve skills of the skater at a glance rate through one-on-one instruction with a member of the Mt. Pleasant FSC Professional Staff. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The skater may choose to skate on one or both (Monday and Thursday) club free style sessions per week for four weeks. A fifteen minute private lesson is included once each week. During the remaining ice time the skater practices alone. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Eligiblitity | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The skater must have passed Basic 4 to be eligible for this program. Skaters are limited to one four-week session of this program. Subsequent ice reservations and lessons would be through the price lesson ice contract and an individual agreement with a member of the Mt. Pleasant FSC Professional Staff.
