October 2007
1: One more month until you are 3!
3: You pushed Rose and she hit her head on the wall, big bump. You were sorry.
5: Grandparent Torreyson's arrive.
6: You have soccer. You got pumpkins with Daddy and Grandma and Granddad.
7: You went bowling with family and Grandparents.
8: Grandparent Torreyson's leave for home.
13: Soccer today.
16: Woke up throwing up. No school for you today.
20: Skipped soccer to make sure you are all better.
27: Last day of Fall soccer. You went to party at coach's house with Daddy. You got a trophy.
30: Halloween party at school. Daddy went with you and Mom and Rose showed up later for the songs. Grammy arrives for visit. Trick or treating tonight. You went as Spongebob.
September 2007
1: Left WV for beach in Salvo, NC. 10 hour car ride. You did great!
3: You are enjoying the sand on the beach, but unsure of the water.
5: Went to the aquarium. You loved it!
6: You ate crabs and enjoyed them. Yum!
7: ROSE TURNED ONE!
8: Left beach for home. Did great on the ride home.
11: First day of preschool. You had fun.
12: First day of dance class. You didn't enjoy, we will try next year.
13: School today. You cried when mom dropped you off.
15: First day of soccer. You had fun the first 20 minutes and then you cried from then on. Watched from the sidelines.
18: School, cried when daddy dropped you off.
20: School, cried when mom dropped you off.
22: Soccer, watched from the sidelines the whole time. Didn't want to play.
25: School, frowned when mom dropped you off.
27: School, happy when mom dropped you off.
29: Soccer, practiced a little and when on field you would stand there. Progress is being made. Went to festival in Cross Lanes with family.
30: Went bowling with family. Had fun.
August 2007
4: Went to neighborhood cookout.
5: Started potty training...again.
6: Responding well to potty training. We have to walk her toilet to pee.
12: Signed up for dance classes. Installed car seat in convertible, so Daddy can pick Shayna up from dance classes in the Fall. Went bowling with family.
14: Signed up for soccer for Fall and Spring.
15: Arrived in MD at Grandparent Fox's house. Daddy is doing reviews in WV.
17: Daddy arrives at Grandparent Fox's house to spend the weekend with us.
18: Great Grandparent Fox's arrive in MD to visit.
19: Daddy leaves for DC for training.
20: Great Grandparent Fox's leave for Rhode Island.
23: Gigi comes to visit.
24: We leave the Grandparent Fox's house for the Grandparent Torreyson's house.
25: Rose's First Birthday Party. You got many gifts as well.
26: We head back to WV. Starting to get runny nose.
July 2007
4: Fell asleep on boat ride.
5: Left Torreyson's house to visit Grandparent Fox's, Hazel, and Aunt Briana.
7: Left Fox's house to head back to WV.
13: Left to go to VA for Anderson Family Reunion.
14: Left reunion to head back home.
20: Left WV to head to Fox's house to visit Grandparent Fox's, Aunt Briana, and Hazel.
21: Went to playground at Youth's Benefit Elem. School.
22: Helped scrub highchair with Aunt Briana. You did a great job!
23: Went to outside concert with Mom, Rose, Grammy, and GranPaul.
24: Went to library with Grammy/GranPaul and Baltimore Zoo was there with animals.
25: Went to Jarretsville Elem. School playground with Mom.
26: Calls Aunt Briana "Renny."
27: Woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. Was sick all day. Dad came back to WV to pick us up. We headed back to WV.
29: Daddy installed swing set in the backyard.
June 2007
1: Collects toys to take with you on car rides, walks, naps, and bed time. Cute!
6: Loves stuffed toy hippo. Says "PoPo."
17: Plays in pool with Rose.
19: GranPaul, Grammy, Aunt Briana, and Hazel arrive. First time we meet Hazel.
21: GranPaul, Grammy, Aunt Briana, and Hazel leave for MD.
22: Went to Farmer's Market with family. Ate at SoHo.
23: Went to Festivall.
30: Left to visit Grandparent Torreyson's and Shelly in MD.
May 2007
1: 2 1/2 years old today. Started on pull ups in hope of potty training.
6: Took a couple of bikes rides with daddy. You loved it.
7: Finger got caught in door handle. Ouch! You are okay.
14: You want to put on your clothing and shoes on your own.
19: Your cousin, Hazel May Tiede, is born at 8:16 pm. She is 7 lb 5 oz and 20.5 inches.
26: Went to Vidalia festival with family. Have fun dancing. First bath with Rose. You both enjoyed yourselves.
28: Went to Good Evening Ranch and Summersville Lake. Got in the lake for a bit. Water was very cold.
30: Stuck styrafoam up your nose. Dad got it out with tweezers.
31: Stuck more styrofoam up your nose. Mom got it out with tweezers this time.
April 2007
1: Easter egg hunt in neighborhood. Got 6 eggs. Got caught in rain, you were screaming. Overall you had a good time.
3: Peed in toilet--finally.
5: Grammy and GranPaul arrive.
7: Go to clay center with Grammy and GranPaul with family. Had a blast. Peed in toilet two times for Grammy.
8: Easter. Opened baskets and had egg hunt downstairs (since it was 30 degrees outside.)
11: Peed on toilet once.
17: Climbed out of crib during time out.
19: Turned crib to a toddler bed. Slept great at night.
20: Wouldn't take a nap in the toddler bed. Kept escaping bed and room since the door won't latch.
21: Took a nap in the pack n play in your room. Went to YMCA to swim with family.
22: Nap in pack n play.
23: Nap in pack n play.
24: No nap today. Kept escaping bed and would climb out of pack n play.
25: Took nap in your bed today!
27: Granddad and Grandma arrive with Aunt Shelly.
28: Granddad fixed your door, so you can't escape your room which means you nap now! Out to dinner at Panera Bread.
29: Granddad, Grandma, and Aunt Shelly leave to head back to MD.
March 2007
5: Says "you" for Shayna
6: Found the preschool you will go to in Sept '07
9: Dad ate your dinner. You said "That dinner was mine." and then lectured your daddy.
10: You say "MINE!" a lot
11: Almond got bit by another dog--you were upset and kept saying "You okay?"
21: Walked 2 miles with Mom
22: Ran 1 mile with Mom
24: Called Bri "Nanna" and said I love you to her on the phone.
28: Fell down deck stairs. Bruised back, didn't hit head. You were ready to walk down stairs again after 5 min. You were fine.
30: Dad got supervisor job.
31: Clay Center with the family. Had a lot of fun! Threw a fit in Target. Mom carried you out.
February 2007
11: Grammy arrives to visit
13: Grammy thinks you are so much fun.
15: Grammy babysat you while Mom and Rose when to doctor's appointment. Grammy left to go home.
17: Learned sign language for eat. Grandma and Grandpa Torreyson arrive to visit.
19: Grandma and Grandpa Torreyson head back home.
23: Flushed flashlight down toilet. Dad had to dig it out.
27: You finally know your age and will say "two" when asked how old you are. Pointed in the sky and said moon and stars.
28: Learning new words everyday.
January 2007
1: Aunt Briana and Uncle Chad stop by on their way home to OK.
2: Went to the bathroom in the toilet.
5: You finally call dad "daddy"
8: Saying lots of animal names now. Ooo eee means monkey. Cute!
10: You like rolling on the floor now.
14: Went swimming and to the Clay Center (saw an IMAX film) with Daddy
17: Learning a lot of new words everyday. Repeats a lot.
30: Loves playing in the kitchen sink with water and bubbles.
December 2006
2: Family outing to Circuit City and Chick fil a.
9: Swim with Mom at YMCA.
13: Found out today that you will have a girl cousin from Aunt Briana and Uncle Chad.
14: Santa came to visit today. You didn't let Santa hold you.
15: Saw first movie with Dad. you saw "Happy Feet."
16: Went swimming with Dad at YMCA. Celebrated Christmas as a family. You are scared of Dad's gift to you...a TMX, tickle me Elmo. You like the box, but not Elmo.
17: Loves playing with Mr. Carrot head and Mr. Potato head.
19: Says body parts to yourself, you know most of them by now.
22: Aunt Briana and Uncle Chad arrive in WV.
23: We all head to MD to celebrate Christmas with Grandparent Fox's, Aunt Briana, and Uncle Chad.
24: Open presents with Grandparent Fox's, Aunt Briana, and Uncle Chad. You opened everyone's gifts.You started to fall asleep in the high chair, but you still managed to keep chomping on your garlic bread. So cute and funny!
25: CHRISTMAS! Gigi comes over to celebrate Christmas.
26: Great Grandparent Fox's arrive in MD to visit.
28: You call GrandPaul Fox "Paul."
29: Great Grandparent Fox's leave to go back to RI. You meet Morgan and Marnie.
30: Gigi's 80th surprise birthday party.
31: We head back to WV.
November 2006
1: Shayna is TWO today!! Mom sang Happy Birthday to her LOTS of times!
3: Two year check up. 28 lbs. (75th percentile) and 35 in. (75th percentile). HEALTHY!
10: Starting to count. Says two well.
12: Went swimming at YMCA with Mom.
18: Swimming at YMCA with Dad. Played basketball and soccer with Dad.
19: Went swimming at YMCA with Mom. Went pee pee in toilet.
22: Grandparent Torreyson come to visit to celebrate Thanksgiving/Christmas.
23: Opened Christmas presents with Grandparent Torreyson's. Mom and Dad cooked first Thanksgiving dinner. You only ate corn and a little bit of a biscuit.
24: Great Grandparent Shepherds' come to visit. Grandparent Torreyson's leave to go home.
25: First stroll in double stroller with Rose and Mom.
27: Swim at YMCA with Dad. Another stroll around the neighborhood in double stroller, with Mom, Dad, and Rose.
28: Uses stool to reach sink to brush teeth and wash hands.
30: Loves to wash hands and brush teeth over and over again.
