Marilyn Miller
Violin, Vocals

Born in San Diego Marilyn’s music career began at the tender age of 11. While in 6 th grade her handsome red-haired music teacher, (who sang and played the violin) offered 6 students the opportunity to start a beginning class for the violin. “My hand shot up” says Marilyn and it started a series of lessons which included fine teachers in San Diego plus playing in the “ San Diego Youth Orchestra” and summers playing as a student with the “ San Diego Symphony”.
Moving first to Northern Arizona and then to Buena Vista Colorado . As a young woman Marilyn was active playing for 10 years in the local “High Country Fine Arts” musical productions. After hearing “Natalie Mac Masters”, Nova Scotia fiddle player I knew I had to start playing Irish, Celtic, and Scottish music. It was in my heritage and it sounded like so much fun. Putting together local musicians was a challenge and an on-going process but the results have been great. Marilyn was dating at this time and desperately needed a Bodhran player, her date became her drummer and they recently married. All the band members do have fun and have added to & help create our own style of playing.
