General description of this series:

This series is NOT based around a prominent points competition. It is based, rather, on your ability to perform well at monster truck events, become a better performer, become more popular with the audience, and over time, increase your booking fees.

How this all works: At the beginning of the series, the first event will be held on a first come, first serve basis. The number of trucks for each event will vary depending on the size of the venue. For the first event, each performer will be offered the same booking fee. Depending on how each team performs, it will receive the offered amount, less than that amount, or greater than that amount. As events progress, teams will get a better understanding of how this process works. For races following the first event of the season, teams will be offered booking fees based on performance and reliability.

So if there's no points, what's the point? The point it to create a rough understanding of the actual monster truck world, creating scenarios that some teams actually have to face in an effort to take online racing to a higher level of realism. In addition, the teams that end up with the most money at the end of the series, technically have "won." But the money is not based on directly winning rounds and freestyle competitions, thus it is not a points series.

General racing procedure

Brackets: Drivers will be paired in the preliminary rounds in an effort to create the best final possible for the audience. However, if the drivers would prefer a random draw, that procedure shall be executed instead. USMTA will leave it to the drivers how they wish to set the bracket. Qualifying, however, will not be an option for it is too time consuming and controversial.

Racing Infractions: Anything related to missing a ramp, hitting a turning pole, etc., one time during a round will be a 5 second penalty. Two or more infractions during a race will ultimately lead to a disqualification in that round to save time and controversy. If two trucks hit each other during a run, all infractions prior to the collision will be thrown out, and the first truck to cross the finish will be declared the winner. Re-runs will be rare and a last resort. All decisions by officials will be final and non-arguable. Remember, you are not getting points for advancing.

Fast Loser: In the event that a fast loser is needed, USMTA will pick a losing truck which would offer the best possible race for the audience. IE the most competitive of (X) number of losing trucks.

Freestyle: Freestyle will not be judged, and competitors will get 1:30 one minute and thirty seconds to complete their run.

Event Introductions: USMTA will execute introductions much like real monster truck events. Drivers and trucks will be announced and drive out one at a time into the arena to their designated parking spot, and park the truck until the completion of introductions.

Money and how it's handled

Your team's account will be kept secret from other teams by the USMTA. Account updates will be e-mailed to each team following each event. Each team will start with $7,000 in their account. After each event, their booking fee and traveling costs will be calculated to their previous total and an account summary will be e-mailed to the team.

Infraction account deductions can and will be executed as various penalties.

Truck/Team modifications will add/deduct money from accounts. IE new paint schemes, truck repair costs, etc.

Traveling/maintenance costs will be deducted from each team's account for each event. Everyone knows that diesel fuel for your transporter, fuel for the monster truck, touch up paint for your truck, etc. isn't free! Each team will encounter the same traveling costs for each event. These costs will never exceed $1,000.

The costs and penalties for each event will vary depending on the venue, and will be posted with the event on the schedule page.

| Boring Stuff |

Before the race, all teams that have been booked must be in the chat room at least 10 minutes before the event begins. The IP address will be given out, and the event will begin. Teams have 3 attempts to make it into the game. Those who fail to connect, will not receive their booking fee, but no deduction to the account will be made. Teams who fail to perform will suffer a deduction from their account based on the size of the event. Trucks cannot exceed 1200 vertices in the body model count (this is only the count on the BinEdit body model, not the tires, axles, etc.)
