On a rainy day, it seemed
that the game would not be played. And as it turned out, torrential
downpours happened sporadically before and directly after the game had
concluded. Alex Sota pitched a shut-out through his six full
innings. The game was scoreless until the top of the seventh inning, when
pitcher Alex Sota belted a grand slam to put Township ahead by a score of
4-0. Pete Andrelczyk would close for Township, not allowing Quarryville to
score in their last ditch effort catch township.
