Facing elimination, Manheim Township went into Monday night's game knowing that they were in a crucial situation.  Township wasted no time securing a lead in the first inning when Dane Yoder slammed a homerun.  Josh Bucher, Andy Dochterman, and Dane Yoder also got hits in the first, and all eventually scored.  Despite a double by Pete Andrelczyk in the second inning, Township was unable to score any runs.  Dane Yoder also hit a double in the third inning, but to no avail, as Township would not score that inning.  Brett Conway was able to work out of a bases loaded situation in the fourth, allowing no runs to score.  Jared Ellis lead off the 4th inning for Township with a single, but Ellis managed to reach third base due to an overthrow at first.  Pete Andrelczyk would then get a hit to knock in Ellis.  Josh Bucher lead off the fifth inning for MT with a single.  Shawn Keller then hit a 2 run homerun to put Township up by a score of 6-0 after five innings.  Conway managed to allow no runs to score in the sixth and seventh innings to give Township the crucial playoff win, eliminating Ephrata, and putting Township in the Championship series against Lititz.  Game 1 begins Tuesday, July 20th at 7:00 pm.  Township must defeat Lititz Tuesday to force a second game, Thursday, July 22nd.
