(6) vs. Conestoga Valley (2)

In their second consecutive game of the day, Township got ready to square off against their division rivals, Conestoga Valley.  Sean Rigney was the starting pitcher for Manheim Township.  George Eager lead off the game, reaching second base on the short-stop's error.  Andy Dochterman then hit a single, knocking in Eager for the first run of the game.  In the second inning, Dane Yoder lead off with a double, followed by Sean Rigney who also doubled, scoring Yoder.  Township added two more runs in the fourth inning when Dane Yoder once again lead off with a single.  Josh Bucher then hit a triple, scoring Yoder.  Bucher took home on a passed ball.  CV threatened in the sixth inning, when Alex Sota was in a bases loaded situation with 1 out.  However, Sota got out of the inning allowing only 1 run.  Township took back that run and then some in the bottom of the sixth when Brett Conway lead the inning off with a single.  Bucher followed with a double, allowing Sota to hit a single, knocking in Conway.  Andy Dochterman also had a single that scored yet another run.  With one half inning of play left, Township held a 6-2 lead.  Pete Andrelczyk closed the game for the second time in the same day, allowing no runs to score in the seventh.  With this win, Manheim Township has earned the second seed spot for the 2004 Legion Playoffs.  Playoffs begin on Tuesday, July 12.
