How does Christmas celebrated in Australia?
Although we will be in new Zealand during that period, it is in general the same in both countries. Christmas being in summer here, celebration are happening outside. People gather at the pool or at the beach around the bbq with their favorite drinks.Us we will be in middle of our set-up in Auckland (work-work), but we will be off on Dec 25 and having a diner Luc and I at home.
Is the season in October still call Fall in the southern atmosphere?
No, in fact the definition of the season are define like us, the warmer period of time after the coldest period of the year is call Spring. The only difference that we have notice is that Spring starts on September 1st and not the 3rd week of September as per the sun's location with our planet, like we do in Canada.
Do you see kangaroos everywhere?
No. In fact the only place we have seen some is at the zoo in Sydney. We have not been in the Outback yet, but for sure there is no kangaroos in Sydney's parks and suburbs.
Do cars are allowed to turn right at the red light?
Cars have to stop at the red light and have to wait the green to continue or turn. Since the cars are driven on the other side of the street, they will have been allowed to turn left at the red light but this is not allowed in the city visited yet.
Do cars are driven on right side or the left side of the street?
The cars are driven on the left side of the streets in Australia.
