I Bear Witness That None Deserves To Be Worshipped Except Allah
And I Bear Witness That Muhammad Is His Servant And His Final Messenger

Muhammad:
An Objective And Logical Analysis of Who He Is

His name is Muhammad Ibn (The son of) Abdullah Ibn Abdul Mut-Talibb. He was born an orphan and never saw his dad. His mother died as well shortly after that, so he lived as an orphan from the day he was born. When he was born (approximately in the year 570) Mecca was a town that witnessed great development only in the field of arts and especially poetry. However, these were dark ages when it comes to the Arab peninsula as well as Europe. There was no successful social, economic or moral systems organizing how people lived during that dark era. Then Muhammad came out of a dark and devastated world that became afterwards an example of civilization and development.

Is he a prophet?

Muhammad is claimed by Muslims to be a Holy Prophet sent by God to spread His word and last message, which is Islam. However, Non-Muslims argue that Muhammad is merely an ordinary man, who had enough wisdom and intelligence to influence millions and billions of people till the present time with his teachings written by Him in the Qur'an.

Well, let's look a little bit closer at the two arguments….

- Is Muhammad an extremely intelligent man?

Based on today's Intelligence measure (taking an I.Q. test for instance) Muhammad was an illiterate! He never knew how to read or write a single letter. However, he was known (even as a teenage an adult) with his great wisdom beyond his age.

- Is Muhammad a liar?

Muhammad was known among all his hometown people with "The Honest" and "The Truthful". He had lived 25 years among his people with that reputation. It would be illogical that suddenly he would claim something as serious as Prophethood.

- May he lie for fame?

Well, he was already known with a wonderful reputation with his people. However, claiming something as serious as this may out him in danger. People of that time were worshipping statutes. They thought that these statutes were sacred (almost as God) and that they made them closer to God. Thus, they were really fanatics when it came to their Holy Gods. A claim like Muhammad's would really harm his relationship to his people and his own family.

- May he lie for the sake of power and position?

A matter like Prophethood will grant him some power over few people, however, most of the people would turn against him, and that what actually happened. He was harmed physically and morally very much from people of his own town. Besides, Prophethood claimed by a crook will be definitely based on false ground and would contain many discrepancies, whether in Muhammad teachings or the Scriptures (Qur'an), which should have been out of date by now.

- May he have practiced a sort of spell on people to believe in him?

If Muhammad is a magician, then he would have affected the minds of people of his time. However, after almost 14 centuries of His death, Islam comes as the 2nd religion in the world (as to people embracing Islam) and the fastest and most widely spread religion!

- May he be just a lunatic claiming Prophethood?

Well, along 25 years, he was said to be totally sane and wise. Moreover, a lunatic could never affect thousands of generations to come.

- Is he merely a guy of good morals?

Well, guys of good morals cold set an example for many generations to come. They could really touch the lives of others with their teachings and principles, but they could never be granted continuity and validity across time and place. This is not an act of Man, it's an arrangement of God to spread a religion that would put people on the right track after ages of darkness and ignorance.

Signs of his Prophethood

Surprisingly, before Muhammad received the revelation through Gabriel, many people predicted that he would be the most waited-for prophet coming after Jesus. Most of these people were Christian friars and Monotheists. They believed so according to the prophecies in the Bible regarding the Prophet coming up after Jesus. All these prophecies came true and all the signs matched with Muhammad. Thus, Christians and Monotheists had a hunch about it even before Muhammad received the message of Islam or the words of God in the Holy Qur'an.

Has he written the Qur'an?

As mentioned earlier, Muhammad had never been an educated man. He is an illiterate who had never read or written a word before.

Secondly, the Holy Qur'an first chapter (after the opening chapter) says that:

This is the Book no doubt in it; (in it) surely is guidance, to those who are pious. "The Cow Chapter 2:2".

Muhammad would never risk for his "lie" to be uncovered by a simple flaw in the Qur'an. Also, Most writers should include in their books, thesis, or articles a statement on the limitations of their writings or the unintended flaws. This applies for human writers. However, when it comes to God; it is the book without doubt.

Most importantly, The Qur'an proved to be flawless, unlike many discrepancies found in the Old and New testaments (as claimed by the encyclopedia Britannica as well as many writers). It stands for the time and adapts to every-day life situations across more than 1400 years, without being changed or altered as God says in the Qur'an:

We have, without doubt, sent down (gradually) the message and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). "The Stone-land Chapter 15:9".

Thus, for that huge responsibility, God has safeguarded Muhammad from being misled or acting upon his own desires:

- Your companion is neither astray nor being misled. 53:2.

- Nor does he speak of his own desire. 53:3.

- It's no less that inspiration sent down to him. 53:4.

- The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way has falsified that what he saw. 53:11.

- (His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong. 53:17.

P.S. Pass it on to friends, family, neighbors, Muslims and Non Muslims alike.
