Legacy is a format that is coming to kingston and it is interesting alot of people. For those of you who don't know legacy it is any set any age but with a banned list. No power nine and a few goodies are also gone. But as people prep for legacy format one thing comes to mind. Dual Lands.

Dual Lands are about the most used and popular things in legacy. Everyone loves being able to abuse them with sac lands and just get off to a great start. So how does one go about building a legacy deck with so many options you ask? Well if your asking me your asking the wrong person but I'll give it a try.

18 land

42 burn spells

boil anarchy in the side

Hmmm that might not work. Lets try again. Red is very good in legacy but when I was at a very large legacy tournament in syracuse there were three decks running the show.

#3 Mono blue my land pwn you. This deck was very strong but didn't end up with the finishes expected of it. Full of isochrons force of wills blinkmoth nexus stalking stones and infinate counterspells this deck also had the cruelest and scaries start to a game I have ever seen against me and my red.

Turn 1 Island

Turn 2 Plains, Chill

Turn 3 Island, Chrome Mox imprint force of will, chill, COP Red.

I scooped

But like I said that deck didn't do too well overall. Dunno why though.

#2 Survival Well yeah. Of the 60 some people I saw at the tournament atleast 17 played survival. Kinda numbed your sense after a while. Not fun but not very original for a legacy tournament.

#1 Turbo Angel. Don't ask. It won the tourny. Turn 1 Tithe to stockpile then heads up when it goes true believer, morph, morph up exalted, sword of fire ice equipped, game. Not quite sure how it worked so ast but it always got through the counterspells.

So if thats whats good in legacy, what can I do? Well you can build blue, with force of will and twinncast to go with nexus, isochron, moxes etc, you will spend ALOT of money. But you might win a few games. With white you basically make an extended deck and have fun with it. Green or black, merge, make survival, but you suck. :)

Which leaves red. Red is what I'm playing. There are some veryyyyyyyy good red cards to play so I'll run through a few. FORKFORKFORKFORKFORK, anarchy, pyrokinesis, fireblast, blistering firecat, shunt (trust me), lightning bolt, chain lightning, grim lavamancer, seal of fire, boil, chrome mox, isochron.

Theres always more but I have to say that I have always liked shunt, but in legacy shunt is sooooooo much better. Anyone who says otherwise is scared of it. even if it becomes sideboard against blue it's worth it but I'd play main. Ok so now down to business, lets build a deck.

10 Mountain

4 Wooded Foothills

4 Bloodstained Mire

--------------------

4 Grim Lavamancer

4 Blistering Firecat

--------------------

4 Fork

3 Pyrokinesis

4 Fireblast

4 Shunt

4 Lightning Bolt

3 Chain Lightning

4 Chrome Mox

4 Isochron Scepter

4 Seal of Fire

--------------------

4 Anarchy

4 Boil

4

3 Hidetsugu's Second Rite

--------------------

Saviors that could be played here. Hidetsugu's second rite. Who'd see that coming? WHO? TELL ME? MWAHAHAHAHA. I left a spot open basically because I can't remember all I was using right now but you can make many changes to the deck and it's still strong. Just play the shunts!
