I was attacked in my home by the son of the African lady that does our ironing. I was stabbed, which resulted in one kidney being penetrated which left me unconscious. He then must have hit me over the head with a hammer. My daughter found me and rushed me to the hospital. She contacted the police who refused to come and she then spoke to our neighbour hood watch. The Police pitched up two days after my daughter had already cleaned up all the blood left as a result of the attack.

Hi there, thanks so much for your response. The police station in question is Brighton Beach, situated on the Bluff in Durban, Natal. The man's name is Armstrong Phewa,  23 years old. The case is handled by Detective Inspector Michelle Swarts. If you update your files overseas, does that mean you don't live in South Africa? Please let me know because most of the crime is not reported in the newspapers. In one suburb there's been two murders in a matter of two weeks plus housebreaking where the father and his daughter were beaten and robbed. He has since committed suicide.
