This concept involves using computers to provide all types of digitizing services on-site. I currently take the desktop with appropriate cabling and sometimes some analog audio equipment (cassette deck, mixer board, microphones, etc.) to record live music with the intent of providing an audio CD. I have also done some more formal, structured live recording, and some mixing. I use Creative Wave Studio to record the audio, and sometimes for post-processing. I also have Voyetra Digital Orchestrator for more complex mixing tasks, and I have written some code to create learning materials. I would like to network laptops to create a completely mobile multimedia recording system capable of full-motion video and CD-quality audio. The main intent of the system ultimately is in creating multimedia learning materials covering any topic using a database for both data and user information.
This page has some audio that I have recorded in the past using this on-site technique. If you're interested in obtaining a CD of any, or all of these files, please contact me with the specifics, and we will go from there. Unfortunately, I cannot yet stream audio from this page, so you might think twice about arbitrarily selecting one of the files below, they are still very large!
