| Just to name a few people who have crossed my path... Sebastian De Francesco (table tennis/basketball) Kevin Cummings (basketball and the man who gets me to and from San Jose!!!) Liz De Francescp (basketball/archery) Don Beardon (basketball) Mike Elix (basketball) David and Leslie Plumblee (baseball) Press Abella (Boys and Girls Club) I have also been inspired to become a better wheelchair basketball player from the Road Warriors Basketball camp held in 1999, which I attended. I was introduced to Mark Wellman who is an accomplished wheelchair athlete who climbed (yes I said climbed!) El Capitan and Half Dome in Yosemite!!! Of course I have to mention my family - they are the best!!! They support my sporting events and encourage me to be the best I can be in whatever I choose. My mom Norma Applegate who I live with. My 3 great sisters, Melissa, Michelle and Kristen! I love you guys! |
| I would like to take this chance and ENCOURAGE everyone to come and watch wheelchair sporting events, whether it be basketball, track, table tennis or any sport! It is a great experience to watch the determination of these athletes. I would also like to encourage other young people who are disabled to get out there and try any sport, try your hardest and have lots of fun and competition. |
