| Robins vs. Study (Prose) | ||||||||||||||
| As I sit here And read chapters From my History book Looking out the Elliptical window periodically At the 3 American Robins Sunbathing in the bird bath Spring is approaching I force my eyes back onto the page To get back to my reading Chirpchirpchirp The Robins chirp I concur with my eyes And my head turns to stare once more At these beautiful creatures One splashes water onto its back What a delightful sight! Test is tomorrow I have to finish studying My eyes yet again discover the text And I commence to study once more But again my train of thought Travels once more to the Robins Chirpchirpchirp The Robins chirp The male of the cluster Sticks out his reddish-orange chest And drinks more water What a delightful sight! Studystudystudy I must study! Chirpchirpchirp The Robins chirp I gawk this time At the magnificent organisms I close my book this time I lost my page But I dare not bother Test forgotten Chirpchirpchirp The Robins chirp! |
